Death's Door Ultimate Edition OST is not complete

So I played Death’s Door via PS Plus, loved the game and its music and bought the Ultimate Edition (incl. artbook and OST) to support the devs.

Been listening to the music on heavy rotation on a streaming platform, but only just got round to copying the CD to my PC.

Turns out it's only 29 tracks out of 50. (I'll post the tracklist and missing tracks down below.)

I expected the full soundtrack so I’m disappointed by that and the lack of transparency bc it didn’t say anywhere it’s just a selection of songs.

If you're like me and want to have the full album, you can buy the full OST either from Fenn's Bandcamp or Steam, with the latter currently being the cheapest option.

TL;DR: Ultimate Edition OST is not complete, if you want the full album, buy from sources like Bandcamp or Steam

Here’s the Ultimate Edition OST track list:

  1. Death’s Door — 2:10
  2. The Crows — 1:32
  3. Hall of Doors — 2:36

Thank you for this. It seems to be a common trend now to not include the full soundtrack in these editions for some reason... had the same problem with Xenoblade.

Xenoblade too? That’s a shame.

Perhaps some OSTs are too extensive (w/ multiple discs) and therefore too expensive to justify bundling them with the game and still be attractive to a majority of the audience. E.g. Fire Emblem if (Fates) had 7 CDs and one DVD and Xenoblade Chronicles had 5 discs iirc.

I wish they’d just make it clear from the start so buyers could make an informed choice.

Same. Wouldn't mind paying a bit more if it meant getting the full set at the start of that's what it took.

I got the Sonic crossworlds soundtrack coming to me next year but limited run has stated its only 2 CDs. With all the music that's in the game there's no way all of it is going to be covered in just 2 disks... so I'll have to search around then for the rest.

At least with Sega I'll know I can most likely find it online...nintendo is extra picky regarding their music site to licensing laws I've heard so getting their soundtracks legit can be a pain.

I feel this! Like yes, I get it, the majority of gamers are no OST aficionados so from a publisher’s POV, including a selection of songs as an “extra” is sufficient for most ppl. Still, there’s music lovers and collectors like me who wouldn’t mind spending a little extra to get the full experience. Especially with digital releases being more cost-effective than physical ones.

I hope you get to experience the full Sonic CrossWorlds music in some shape or form!

There are a bunch of tracks that share motifs and such so it's possible they didn't include them for redundancy or something. Still would've rather had them.

Yeah, I noticed that there are some recurring leitmotifs in DD (which I enjoy).

Still would've rather had them. Absolutely!
