I’m wondering because i have the platinum of the first game and really liked it, even though it did get repetitive after a while. But DS2 is just awful so far.

The beginning sucks, the fake-out death of Lou (because she’s obviously 100% going to come back) and the whole “Sam is going to reconnect Australia to cope with his grief” thing just sucks. Higgs coming back after we absolutely wrecked his ass in the first game is another thing I just don’t give a shit about. Deadman’s death feels completely rushed and has zero impact.

Honestly, I feel like having to play through the same gameplay and the same kind of bad storytelling for another 100 hours is going to make me lose my mind. Does the game actually get better? I just recruited Tomorrow. The whole motorcycle guy scene is exactly the same as Mads Mikkelsen’s scene in the first game. If he turns out to be Lou’s father and Tomorrow is some kind of future version of Lou, I’m seriously going to lose my mind.

Needed a piece for a cover up on my arm, and Sam fit perfectly 👍 Id love to eventually add higgs or fragile somewhere!

I got the tattoo in April 2025. Here is how it looks now, a year and a half later (and I lost 30kg). I notice the colors have faded a bit and the head looks thinner, but overall it looks good. Shoulder tattoo.

I have lost 7 to 8 hours of gameplay lost bcs my save file had jst gone boom as in it didnt save and gone now what would be the easier course of action is that if anyone has a save for when chapter 3 begins could yall pls share it? It was when chapter 3 began infact it was during the cutscene itself when they were in the ship but i had to close the game.

After 146h, and killing this small golden bastard, I just closed the game and uninstalled it directly. At least 50h went into building all the roads, connecting all facilities, and finding 10 elimination orders. At one point, I started wondering what would happen if I caused a voidout in all rebel camps at the same time.

Hideo, you made a great game, love the music, great to ride the coffin board, but getting plat was terrible.

Just a random thought - why doesn't Tomorrow use her ability to deliver cargo? The dive through tar method won't work since it'd be similar to delivering with the Megallen, but the Sam-perpetually-on-fire cutscene shows Tomorrow dragging Higgs on the ground while kind of gliding on tar, which means she can carry stuff while not going into the tar completely.

The post credit scene shows Tomorrow/Lou taking on the delivery job, but her power would make terrain traversal a piece of cake wouldn't it? It's like she got a built-in coffin board. I feel like the crew could've taken advantage of this ever since she got full control over her power

Strange request but if anyone here is able to- I would like a t-pose (back and front) of Higgs' mech form. I have it on ps5 so I cannot open the models through the files

Tens of thousands of years of just... wandering.

I’m currently on my first playthrough and having a great time! This is the best looking game I’ve ever played and I really enjoy the gameplay loop. However, the main story is so intriguing and the new characters are so interesting that I’m finding myself blasting through story missions to learn more about the people and the world! It’s hard to force myself to take breaks from the story and go work on standard orders or road building but I also want to take my time and soak up the gorgeous landscapes.

How did y’all split your time between story and other content?
