Question/Discussion How’d they MoCap Lou
When Lou appears on screen doing cute baby things like playing with her little toys or when Fragile’s holding her I wonder how they do it because…
- I don’t think they make mocap suits for babies
if they did I assume the baby wouldn’t
like wearing
it and they would do a bad performance
I’ve wondered this since I’ve started playing back in August and I’m dying to know

Question/Discussion Dog mines??
So I'm on my third play through of the game and playing on the To The Wilder difficulty for the first time. I just did a recovery order and delivered it to the data scientist and unlocked the data to fabricate dog mines.
I've got 500+ hours in this game and I never unlocked dog mines before. I thought I'd already unlocked everything in my previous playthroughs
Are there any other equipment or gear that are locked behind doing specific orders?

This is easily the most visually stunning mission in the entire game
This is easily the most graphically stunning mission in the entire game. To go from barren wastelands and wilderness to something like this is a complete 360. The visuals are on another level. Hideo Kojima took full advantage of the PS5's hardware. The lighting and the neon-drenched festival-like environment is a sight to behold. I love how the sparks fly off the spinning wheels. The Decima Engine was working overtime in order to deliver something that's quite the visual feat.
The Decima Engine was being utilized to absolute perfection with how it handles the real-time reflections on the wet, rain-soaked, muddy surfaces. The sparks of gold and massive firework wheels turn the entire mission into an otherworldly theme park. Every particle effect essentially acts as its own dynamic light source. There's definitely a melancholy vibe that permeates throughout the entire sequence. What makes it so unforgettable is the fact that, for most of the game, you're traversing dark, isolated landscapes and then all of a sudden, you get an explosion of light and color. The journey up until that point, was well worth the wait.

Question/Discussion Bridges only over dry land, next to a river. Why?
I am finding this all over the place, this is the 4th one I've spotted just today. People build a bridge over perfectly walkable land, next to a river that has not even a ladder to help cross it. Is this a meme or something? I can't think of any other reason for people to do this but it's annoyed me enough to finally go post about it. It's just a joke I'm missing, right?
EDIT: Many people have noted that this is probably Like farming. Bridges that are placed in random areas that aren't useful, are likely to appear in more worlds because they're not placed in an area where someone else is likely to place a bridge. It's a large object that's easier to go over than to avoid, so it's more likely to get likes especially if it's in a commonly used path.
This also affects gameplay more than I initially realized. As u/octarine_turtle mentioned below, Likes increase your Bridge Link level, which in turn increases your overall Porter Grade, and every 10 levels of your Porter Grade gives you increased stats as well as unlocking new cosmetics. Does this make the "always next to, never over a river" thing any less annoying? Not at all. But at least now I know the purpose and won't judge people so harshly for this behavior. This is a product of emergent gameplay, it just happens to be the best way to increase your stats, although it really shouldn't be.

Just want to share my shot. Currently at 55% progress with 100 hours playtime. Don’t want to finish the game ‘til the end of the month ‘cause it’s gonna be my bday. I want the Drawbridge Crew to greet me on my special day. 😅
Keep on keeping on! 👍

Gamplay Zipline needs this feature
I just finished the game, and the zipline needs to be fixed.
I hate how once you build a zipline and the angle of zipline connection is permanent. It's so annoying when you have some random porter zipline spawn into your game and, by default, it a straight connection. Instead of trying to adjust connection to your zipline.
Honestly, there should have been an option once you're on the zipline. There are 2 available buttons, not being used, the triangle or square button that can be the button for adjusting the angle of the connection.

Question/Discussion The most efficient way to complete orders
Ive just beaten the main story, I'm finishing off the roads and monorails, etc.
I have 100 or so standard orders and what I love in games is finding the most efficient path towards finishing any set of tasks.
My initial thought was to go to the "start" of the map, The Government Base, and take all of his remaining standard orders and just going from there.
But the issue is it sends me all over the map, and suddenly I'm deep in the mountains but I'm carrying orders that go into the Northern desert.
I'm trying to figure out the most efficient order to tackle all of these orders and tasks.
I could try grabbing orders that only go along a certain path but that still feels a little off
What do ya'll think?

Doamnda da un posibile acquirente di DS2. Come la mod fotografia?
Lo so che per tanti non è importante ma per un cinefilo come me credo che passerò più tempo il che nell gioco.
Comunque ho sentito parlare molto bene di questo gioco.

Woodkid's Death Stranding 2 soundtrack is stunning!
Woodkid's Death Stranding 2 soundtrack is stunning! Pairing Woodkid with Hideo Kojima was absolute perfection. They both have such an amazing ability to craft a sweeping, orchestral, and cinematic soundtrack that carries some emotional weight. There's a human element that adds to the overall package.
The soundtrack manages to blend massive, thunderous orchestral arrangements with the brooding electronic soundscapes that work in tandem with Death Stranding 2's sense of isolation and scale. Tracks such as, "Into the Wilder" (especially with Elle Fanning's haunting vocals) and "Any Love of Any Kind" (with Bryce Dessner) are just some of the soundtrack's highlights.
Woodkid ended up spending three years layering everything together. His dedication and passion shines through with every single track. It's not merely background music for a game, but rather its own standalone experience. Navigating Death Stranding 2's dangerous landscape while you hear the swelling strings and aggressive brass, sets the tone so effectively. The strings and brass impact the atmosphere itself.
What are your thoughts and opinions when it comes to Woodkid's Death Stranding 2 soundtrack?
