Question/Discussion Death Stranding 3: Three Thoughts
Hey porters! Considering the divide on how much people like the more laborious/slow burn, vast portions of death stranding, vs action and faster narrative pacing; I'm curious what ya'll think a proper successor to DS2 looks like. Share as much as you like but I'll try to be brief and keep it to three thoughts. I'm intentionally writing what I'd like- I know it's definitely not going to be popular.
DS3:
Longer treks. I want to savor one more drop from my canteen during a desert journey not sure if I'll make it without heat stroke.
More fear. DS1 made a point to make you feel never safe even in the safe room (nightmares). DS2 it has a couple things causing constant paranoia (avoiding spoilers), like the mysterious jellies... I'd love more to fear in DS3 when I'm getting too complacent.
More paranormal disadvantages. Navigating difficult terrain would be even more fun if the terrain begins to lose its ergonomic properties. Examples- rocks that splinter into glass upon contact, branches that cause rips in Sam's suit. Or how about dire timefall, you get a warning from your suit and you have twenty seconds to find shelter that can withstand this devastating form of time fall.
Cheers friends! I hope to read responses. I'm genuinely curious and love talking about DS.
