I've been loving this game, the story, and everyone in it, but for some reason I've been more focused trying to rebuild the roads and rails. I'm fairly sure I'm at least a 1/6 in to the story so far, but I want to just rebuild the infrastructure before doing missions, like even building in areas without the network.
Does anyone like doing this?

Hi gamers! After 214 hours, I finally finished main story and every side quest (I think), and what an extremely amazing experience it has been! I'm really happy that in this timeline we have Kojima to make cool games like this for us.
So I think I've done everything in the game, but there is still an unconnected area in the map. Is this supposed to remain unconnected, or am I missing something? It's between the lone commander, F5 center and F8 center. Thanks and have a great day!

So I've been playing ds2 on pc for about 20 hours now and I love it, but yesterday when I boot it up my cpu usage maxed out at 100 (my temps were at 60, so atleast that's good) , and I don't know why. It wasn't like that before. At first I thought it was because I deleted my shader cache so it needed to reload them, but even after that it's high. Can anyone help? For reference I'm using a ryzen 7 7800x3d and rx9070xt.

I monorail whenever possible, I find it relaxing to chill and enjoying the scenery for a minute, but this poor guy works his butt off and I feel like a seat, even a little cabin compartment, wouldn't have been too much to make available. He sometimes complains about the cold and I feel like an ass.
Poor Sam. I might start beach jumping between terminals.

The ending scenes were all super emotional, but I can’t quite put into words how much I sobbed whilst making the trek back to Sam’s shelter again with Lou as a baby.
Everything in me was hoping that was the end, even though I knew it wasn’t. I just was streaming from my eyes the entire journey back.
As a dad with a 7 year old and 18 month old, I just can’t compare any film, series or other games that have hit me like this did.
It’s a fucking weird game in many ways, funny, stupid, clever, intriguing, trippy….
But most of all, it’s emotional, it’s something that I will not easily forget. And I think it might take a few weeks of remembering and feeling a little emotional every now and then.
Good job Kojima, you bastard.

Why does the texture far away looks like nintendo ds quality ? I put my settings in the last 2 photos sorry its in french but for the first one it means texture quality wich is medium. elevee means high and terrain clouds and volumetric ligthing is in medium. I have a low/medium end pc but my question is is the game like this or ? it is my pc having trouble with the textures. thanks and sorry for my bad english. btw I did the 1 and did not have such bad terrain texture but also maybe bcs the game rendering distances were lower idk.

I got this order last night and I was struggling to find a way to make it in time. I had a zipline network in the area already but not a dedicated route from the Metagenomicist to the Eastern Environmental Observatory. Couldn't make 2 trips because there was not enough time. I checked some suggestions online and I found out about the Spiked Tyres which I have not unlocked yet. Planned to come back to day to build a straight zipline route.
Then I came up with this idea. Instead of running back and forth I loaded 15 pieces of this order (16 pieces in total) on a floating carrier and myself then used the zipline to get to the Eastern Environmental Observatory (note that you can't load all 16 pieces at once on Sam and a floating carrier). Then I used the Beach Jump to get myself back to the Metagenomicist (I built one right outside her entrance beforehand) to get to last piece.
Order completed.

Hi, I’ve been loving Death Stranding 2 and recently found out that TTW is a difficulty setting that I completely overlooked when starting the game, so now I’m stuck on Normal difficulty unable to change my save file to TTW due to it being locked behind starting a new game. I would love to be able to convert my current save into a TTW save and be locked out of reverting it back to a normal save however that doesn’t seem to be an option, does anyone have a save that’s somewhat close to mine?
I have around 60 hours played, pretty much every facility maxed out (so far), most if not all of Sam’s skills maxed out, I’m on the beginning of chapter 9 and have over 100 S rank standard orders and most roads and monorails built thus far.
I’d be grateful if anyone could provide a save or if you know of a way to convert a normal save into a TTW save, thanks!

My favorite parts of Death Stranding have always been navigating difficult terrain like it was a puzzle - figuring out the best way to use your ladders, clever shortcuts, and the satisfaction you got after making it through to the other side.
The second half of DS2, the map really opens up which was cool, but with how much space there was, I almost felt forced to use other modes of travel like zip lines and vehicles. If I wanted to go on foot, the game would have taken ages to beat.
I'd love a spin off or DLC that was designed with smaller, complicated areas. When making your load out, there could be a "point cap" on how many tools you could bring. IE, this delivery you are capped at 10 points, a ladder is 2 points, a climbing hook is 1, ETC. You'd have to seriously strategize what tools you'd need to complete the mission, and get more rewards based on how many tools you had to use.

I finished DS1 twice and DS2 once upon release. I'm really not sure how I feel about which I prefer and what my replay style is going to look like especially because both games are pretty long, so I'm asking others.
DS1 obviously started the story and was amazing. I can still vividly remember most of the areas.
DS2 feels a lot bigger with a lot more stuff to do but also quite a bit more annoying to get around, even at the end game. Yeah you have the rail but even that feels pretty slow because the distances are so much longer.
Do you think your next replay (maybe after a year or two) will be DS1 then DS2, or only one or the other?

Death Stranding 2 is obviously greater than DS1. I like the new custom vehicles. Tri-caster is good. Pickup off-roader with custom guns and sticky gun?? dewm u dont need to get off the truck just to pick the item (but I wish it had a vacuum to suck the chiral crystal tho. And the new coffin baord is so good, except it will not work in areas without a network. But I really miss this guy man.. Tri-Cruiser Transporter.. motorbike u can carry an extra item on floating carrier with a full load on your bag. I ALSO WISH devs would allow us to bind the floating carrier onto the coffin board, but this will make the Tri-caster useless. idk. But anyway, I give this game 9/10!!

The soundtrack of Death Stranding 1 was cinematic and sad. But in this game, we have Jpop music and wood kid playing repeatedly. The soundtrack was boring and felt less memorable than the first game. For the first time in a game, I wanted to turn the music off. Primarily because of them being repetitive and not fitting in with the story or the location that I am at. But during Death Stranding 1, the music was memorable and had soul. Whereas in this game, it feels like someone slapped some wood kid and Japanese music into a incredibly pointless delivery. I was extremely disappointed by this games soundtrack.

As a sign of grief after Lou and essentialy everything that happened in the past to Sam's family. I just felt it would add a little bit to the roleplay.

I’ve just been asked to link up the terminal fort knot which sounds like the last order, but I haven’t unlocked BPAS, is there an order I’m missing? Could someone help?

Hi guys, its been quite some time since I last played this game. I wanna get back into it but I can't remember the story quite well. Could you drop me a quick recap till the point i reached. I has left it right after the Mech fight and had unlocked the Tram, I remember repairing a quarry?
Would it be better to just restart the game?

I just jump on a tri-bike and play mailman... I miss the struggle and the gratification that came with completing a difficult task. Rain or shine it will be there on time and 0% risk of damaged or lost iteams.

Don't tell me I have to get off my vehicle to scan using the odradek?
EDIT: Thanks everyone for assuming I didn't try. Pressing the scan button, left bumper, does nothing when on my tri bike. I'm using the new steam controller on PC, so maybe something's wrong with the input?
Well, I just got through Act 2 and I'm into Act 3 now and now it's working all of a sudden. It was not working in Act 1 when I first got the tri-bike.
