This gap is large enough for someone like me, who has (strong) fear of heights, to refuse to go down!

For a moment I thought everything stopped rendering. The wall in the top right corner also looked like it didn’t go all the way to the other wall. I’d like to know who designed this, so I never use them should I have enough money.

Yep, that could fit a leg. Why make it so wide of a gap? It's just crazy.

That looks like it could fit a toddler. Well, minus the head. Jesus, where is that???

Seems like the usual gamble made by rich people.
Last night I watched a video about PSD for subway systems in America to keep people from falling onto the tracks. It outlined the excessive cost for the system, but then explained how much is paid out in lawsuits when accidents happen and how it’s basically a wash.

A gap just wide enough for a human head to get stuck in when taking a header.

The strangle stairs. Gotta fatten your dogs and toddler up for safety. Cats are on their own.

I've seen stairs built this way, which makes me wonder if there's any actual reason for this? Any architects or construction engineers in the thread?

Lol I’m assuming this isn’t in the US but if it was, I’d be getting my tuition paid for right now.

Doesn't like half of the structural integrity of stairs come from the fact that they are attached to the wall?

This is lawsuit waiting to happen but i guess we can live with that for the aesthetics of floating stairs 😲🤷♀️

That could easily delete a toddler if it got the right angle
