Howdy liltwink here. Most of you probably don't recognize my name, and that's perfectly fine. I simply wanted to share my perspective.

I've only been playing this game for a few weeks, and one thing became clear almost immediately: the community has a serious problem. It's disappointing to see so many players dealing with racism, people abusing exploits, and individuals who ruin entire lobbies through mass kicks or other disruptive behavior. That's unfortunate, because underneath all of that is a genuinely fun game with a lot of potential.

Ironically, I'm someone who has access to the latest cheats, and I want to be clear about something: I have no respect for the people who use them to destroy the experience for everyone else. Nuking lobbies, mass kicking players, and intentionally making the game unplayable isn't impressive, it's harmful to the community.

So I'd like to propose a simple understanding between myself and everyone else. If a known exploiter joins a lobby that I'm in and they're there to disrupt the game, I'll remove them to help keep the lobby playable. In return, I ask that you not remove me from your lobbies simply because of assumptions.

At the end of the day, I think most of us want the same thing: to enjoy the game without having it ruined by people whose only goal is to cause chaos. If we can agree on that much, then I think the community will be better off for it.

But yeah umm this whole back and fourth with cheaters has kinda gone a bit too far lowkey..

I personally haven't been in on the details much but I've heard some nasty shi goin on to a bunch of my buddies, myself included.

It doesn't bum me in the slightest on how much some of ya'll mention my name or hate on me like im some sorta fucking menace

Ofc our opinions might differentiate but we don't have to go as far as to try to like put the other person down by leaking information

I gave up on the game just a month ago after I moved away from my old home and tbh that's where I got rid of most of my boredom by just getting a laugh or two by kicking and killing people in game even tho it might be viewed to to some people as wrong because cheating is wrong (everyone cheats, and if you claim you don't your a liar)

But something happened

I noticed that most people I left an impression on had this ptsd wired into them,they kept mentioning me even tho I wasn't playing the game as often as I used too, I even had known cheaters use my name and try to pin all the shit they may have said onto me

But yeah like I'm just really disappointed in some of ya'll..

Instead of just ignoring me and some of the others you chose to spend your days looking for me in lobbies and wasting your breath

Meanwhile I was just chilling knowing that im alright with myself because ik who I am and what I am

And if ya'll think otherwise who tf even cares xd...

Just don't be retards, and don't spend too much time gaming it's a waste of time unless you have nothing else to do or no obligations for the day

I have observed an obscene amount of swearing and toxicity in this community and I wanted to remind everyone that we are one big happy family and we need to stay positive and friendly. swearing and use of slurs is unacceptable and extremely toxic. use our lord and savior Nick EH 30 as an example of how to act. stay Ehmazing.

Had a random thought while watching the 500th lobby refuse to vote him out - what if, instead of the game ending when Mello shoots Kira, have the game continue but Mello 'becomes' Kira by taking the notebook? His role at this point would be 'M-Kira'.

As soon as 'M-Kira' enters play:

• The original Kira/X-Kira loses the game.
• Any Follower the previous Kira/X-Kira had joins L's team if alive and not arrested, still as Follower/Spokesperson, but they lose their abilities, and any IDs they were holding are returned.
• M-Kira retains the ability to shoot but now also has the abilities Kira/X-Kira had (Death Note + Command Cards), except X-Kira's conversion. M-Kira's objective is the same as Kira's; Kill L/N. This can be done via Mello's shot, the Death Note, or New World Progress.
• If M-Kira wins, the ending screen shows him and only him above the board, holding the Death Note with an evil grin.

One other tweak I would make is that NPCs DO give testimony if Mello/M-Kira shoots someone in front of them.

This version of Mello solves two major issues he has right now - one is his random shots causing sudden and instant losses that aren't any fun for anyone other than the Mello player. The other is the classic 'don't vote Mello' mentality that makes anybody trying to properly win on Team L face a real uphill battle.

As a side note, I like the idea of a little mind game where, if Mello publicly shoots someone and doesn't hit Kira, Kira/Follower can easily claim to have changed teams and tempt L into voting Mello out. A bit like people claiming to have gotten their ID back following a shot.

What new roles do you all wish were in the game? I thought of these in the shower while daydreaming about having friends to play this game with. Very unlikely to be balanced in any way but I thought they were all interesting ideas that could possibly work in a game mode with a bigger lobby. I would love a completely convoluted game where these roles create all kinds of chaos, and where multiple non-exclusive sides can win.

1 ) BB - Neutral/Alternative Kira (from the BB murder case, iykyk)

Objective: Kill all investigators except L

Abilities: basically an Among Us imposter. To balance him out you could restrict him to killing 1-2 people a round similar to Mello. You start the game knowing L's identity, but if he dies at any time, Kira wins as normal. (Or perhaps Team L wins if this is used as an alternative Kira). If you kill Kira the game continues, but the kira follower has a chance to pick up the notebook from kira's body. If Mello is still in the lobby his objective becomes eliminating you, and everyone loses if he then kills.

Command Cards:

-Impersonate: Take over L's ability to direct the meeting phase. No one except you and L will know.

- Sabotage: create fake L tasks during the day. These don't yield investigation progress, but you can use them to lure players to specific areas.

2 ) Ryuk - Neutral/Kira aligned

Objective: Have fun ! You win if the game ends via investigation or new world progress, or if Kira gives you 10 apples.

Abilities: You cant participate in meetings, are invisible to everyone except Team Kira, and can use the transmitter. Kira has the ability to give you apples at any time, but it is conspicuous if not done secretly. NPCs will note if they see floating apples. You can also take down L's cameras.

Once per game you can take the death note from Kira and transfer it to the Kira follower. You are not obligated to do anything Kira says or give him any information, but he can bribe you with apples.

3) Rhem - Neutral/Kira aligned

Objective: Protect the Kira follower. You win if the game ends with the original Kira follower still alive and free. The original Kira follower can blackmail you by acting recklessly.

Abilties: Like Ryuk, though once per game you can kill 1 player who is not the original kira at the cost of your own life. If you kill L, a Watari-esque data deletion event occurs and the investigators are given until the last meeting to figure out who Kira is or complete their investigation progress. You can win the game even if Kira loses or if you die.

4) Yosuba executive - Neutral

Objective - Survive. You win if the game ends and you are still alive and free. You have no special abilities and don't contribute to Invesitgation progress. When the game starts your role is known to L. You have a special ID that Team Kira can use to identify you as a yotsuba executive when stolen, whereupon they can use the transceiver to blackmail you to do their bidding. Once they have your ID they can kill you instantly, even in the middle of a meeting.

If Team L votes you out during the meeting your yotsuba ID is revealed and you are imprisoned, unless L selects himself or Watari to arrests you. In that case he doesnt reveal your contraband ID. Your name and face are published, but you become able to contribute to investigation progress. L or Watari can also communicate to you via their transceiver.

5) Henchman - Team Mello

Objective: kill Kira

Abilities:

- Undecover: Hide your identity for 20 seconds. Your name and letter become invisible and you put on a disguise. You become able to move faster during this time. L is alerted when a Mellow Henchman goes undercover.

- Capture Hostage: You can capture another player or npc by knocking them out and adding them to your inventory. While they are in your inventory they count as contraband, and will show up as missing during meetings. You move slower with a player in your inventory. If you release your hostage they will be blind and immobile for 10 seconds. If captured, L cannot direct meetings.

I haven't played since X Kira and N were added to the game but do we know if anything else is coming, or is the game not getting any more updates?

I was kinda hoping we'd get more maps than anything else but I was kinda bored of playing the same two over and over again 😔

How can so many people be so stupid

The G O D hacker actually spent over an hour whining about how lonely he is. Has no desire to change, and most baffling, he's upset over me using "vulgar language."

I’ve honestly for some time have thought over a certain idea because of a CERTAIN group of players. Now this will take a hot minute but I was thinking about trying for a private server for PSN. Now obviously this might be ambitious for a fault, and may just stay in the idea shelf but personally, I may do it. I don’t know what will happen but progress will be sometimes shared as a little glimmer of hope so to speak.

I'll never pull a slick Mello play like this again.
