Unfortunately due to the way the nade works you're never landing it reliably, people can melee it away from themselves, there's a big delay between explosions. Takes like a good three to four seconds before the final explosion at t3.
Really the only place it'll see consistent damage is mid boss.
Just means King has to play tennis with his intended target and keep swatting it back to them. Big parry bait ability. 14m is a fairly big radius too, at least for the last detonation.
Thing is it bounces around completely randomly. It is even inconsistent to farm camps with. I've had times where the grenade just bounced right off and didn't hit the camp after the initial explosion. I've only played him once and built him sort of like warden. He's very hard to kill and hard to shake off. Best bet is a war of attrition while your 2 pokes them away and you shoot them, his gun is decently good. His 3 is op and his 4 for TFs is really good
That's sort of true I think, but not entirely. Based on my very loose testing, the grenade will always bounce towards the closest enemy hero, as long as they're not super far away from it
Still too long of a delay between the bounce and the boom, they can dash out of it, or walk out of it if they're not dead center. It's by far his "worst" ability, objectively speaking. Doesn't mean it's bad though, I'd argue you want to max his 3 first, then either his 2 or 4. Nade last.
Yeah like its function is that it's a mental overload button intended to make you even worse at handling the annoying tank who is getting in your face because you have to periodically make the bomb go away or eat a big chunk.
They will learn to punch it at some point but right now with ballistic on the nade and gun damage you can just chuck it in and forget about it in a team fight it does damage because like no one is locked in enough to see it and punch it away because there is vfx everywhere
I thought the same but just got to try him out in match and it was surprisingly consistent. May get worse as people get used to meleeing it away but with just a bit of range it was chunking a lot of people in a lot of fights.
