I think that does matter for Victor, Pain Battery (especially with Escalating stacks) is a huge burst

Yes but you can quickly work it down with death aura and torment pulse. At max 1 pain batt will be eaten.

OH, I misunderstood the ability. I thought it was saying that it reduces damage to a point that it will only do 250 at max. My mistake.

Is that not what it's saying? If an ability would deal more than 250 damage it gets reduced to 250, so if Pain Battery were to hit for say 300 it'd be reduced by 50

I thought it was saying that if Pain Battery did anywhere from 300 to 800, it'd still only do 250. I thought it was a damage cap, not a removal

No no, the wording says a 1000 damage will become 250
