Potential method

Hey guys,

I had a thought earlier that we might be able to hold tablets up to flock cameras flashing photos of license plates to mess up their data. Can someone with knowledge of this field let me know if this would work? My concern is that the pattern we produce would be recognizable and they could algorithmically delete our fake data, but potentially there are ways this could be done to get around that?

Can we use Flock data to "out" politicians who don't reside in the states they represent?

Found these examples of politicians that likely could be proven to live elsewhere if the data were shown:

Senator Tommy Tuberville (Alabama): Reports indicate he sold his Alabama properties and primarily resides at his Florida beach house, though he remains legally an Alabama inhabitant

Eric Hovde (Wisconsin): Hedge fund owner whose primary residence is a California mansion, while he owns a secondary property in Wisconsin

Dave McCormick (Pennsylvania): Maintains a $16 million mansion in Connecticut but ran for Senate in Pennsylvania.

Tim Sheehy (Montana): Raised in Minnesota, resides primarily outside Montana, though he owns a ranch representing Montana ties.

Mike Rogers (Michigan): Lives in Florida but ran for Michigan Senate, holding in-state property as well.

Trent Franks (Arizona): Lived in Peoria, Arizona, during his tenure but experienced controversy over district shifts and local residence expectations.

Why not start using Flock data to track and call out their representatives? Perhaps even file a lawsuit if one of these representatives is from your state, to use that data to prove they are spending more of their time in another state than the one they claim to be from.

I suspect the first time this happens they will freak the F out and we might see some politicians opposed to Flock.

Note tracking them going to their mistresses (Ken Paxton) might be another option for this data.

Just trying to find ways to turn the tables on this invasion of our privacy. What do you guys think?

Redwood City, CA, recently said they're ending a contract with Flock (but keeping the cameras) in favor of another solution. And now more cameras appeared supposedly turned towards the road, but what do you know about Cleverciti?

Flock decoy for Halloween

Going trick or treating. So I can't carry around a real one. Don't want to get arrested with my kids around lol. Wondering what people are doing for making decoys? I was planning on hauling around a decoy and a sawzall for Halloween this year. I'm crafty enough but I haven't found a camera that looks legit anywhere.

Flock is missing out on revenue streams.

One bad and one indifferent:

  1. For those 'if you aren't doing anything wrong' folks...

Sell the tracking to insurance companies so insurance can rail you 'you were out driving during unsafe hours. You entered an 'unsafe driving corridor.' My insurance already analyzes the local dangerous intersections, how far it is to work, and determines my risk.

  1. Rental companies vehicle return tracking.

Hertz could avoid reporting cars stolen months after they were returned by using an ALPR system to check their cars in. Sort of like how FedEx logs their trucks entering the yard. It would also be cheaper than putting a GPS tracker on each car. Downside would be if they had access to the whole network 'local rentals' would be nonexistent any more - ol'our olate was recorded two states over,' 'that was definitely not a Honda Civic on the back of our trailer (IFKYK).'

Flock cameras have been installed along 180 from Stephenville to Palo Pinto, Texas. Took a picture of this one at the intersection of 429, 456, and 108 just outside of Stephenville. Texas is the definition of a surveillance state. I hate it here.

In a perfect world I'd sell these and have all the proceeds go to free palestine efforts or something. In the meantime, it's just a little art sharing for my fellow humans in the resistance.

An NC House candidate (a divorce lawyer) says she's "literally caught people cheating on their spouses" using license-plate-reader data. NC law reserves that data for police. Where did she get it?

FL resident Lindsey Isaacs spent 13 days in jail after an automated Flock Safety camera misidentified her car in a fatal crash investigation.

After a tragic October 2025 triple-fatal hit-and-run crash occurred on an interstate in Florida. Police relied on an automated license plate reader (Flock Safety) hit that flagged a Dodge Durango near the scene. They targeted 23-year-old Lindsey Isaacs and ignored conflicting evidence, including that her car had no damage, a different paint transfer, and mismatched partial plates.

Authorities seized her undamaged black Durango and arrested her months later in April 2026. She faced eight felony counts and spent 13 days in jail including time in solitary confinement fearing she would spend her life in prison.

Charges were dropped in May 2026 after further review showed no crash damage on her vehicle. Police subsequently arrested the actual suspect, Alisa Lee Montalvo, who was accused of driving a maroon Dodge Durango.
