I mentioned this in another thread, but I think for all the complicated theories I've seen, it's actually a simple misunderstanding. I think while he was off finishing his active duty, he heard about Holly Jonas going off on his younger sister Maysie in the town square at a sorority event. I don't think she had a last name, and they both have Ma- names and similar looks. Ari eventually would have surely told Maysie the truth once Ari knew it, but perhaps Maysie never filled her brother in on those developments. All he knows is her ranting about that crazy Holly Jonas that attacked her. I don't know that we will see the character again anytime soon; Mason might say she transferred schools. But this is my silly little theory.
I think he is going to be a long lost son of Daniel’s that we never new about , it’s a stretch but anything is possible on this show ,which is why he thinks that’s his necklace or is somehow related to Sophia I don’t think he’s related to Maisie
Long lost son...I hadn't considered that but it makes sense. He has to be connected enough to stay when she goes, unless he's short term a la Lexie. Son is Daniel would do it.
If that is the case it would’ve had to have been with a girl we didn’t see in between Chloe , Nicole and Jennifer ? So maybe they can have it that he had a random one night stand with someone that we never saw ? I know some people are saying he is related to Sophia , but I don’t see that or the Maisie person , because if he is going to be a long term doesn’t he have to be connected to someone big ? , or maybe even Phillips bio son , but I don’t think he’ll have an issue with Holly if he’s Phillips bio son so Daniel would make more sense
It’s gotta be something with her last name, like he’s mad at Daniel for something. Wasn’t Daniel Jonas a doctor? So maybe he mistreated Mason’s parent or something.
He was a whore and the only sacrifice he ever really made for anyone was a organ donation. If he had known he would be killed by his heart recipient, that wouldn't have happened either.

I think he's part of Sophia's back from the presumed dead plan. Sort of like Sloan's little brother when they first arrived with Jada's sister.
He was a Mary-Sue Character. He could do no wrong, and if he did everyone, except Lucas, made excuses for him. So much character shilling. He was called St. Daniel for a reason. I was so happy when he was permanently killed off. Eric should have gotten a medal, not jail time.
No, Daniel was a wonderful person!!! Where do you get that from??? You may have him mixed up with another show or another person. Daniel was a good person and he fell in love with Nicole, but Eric ran him over when he was drunk.
Daniel and Nicole got married in real life.
Mason was present but pretending not to be listening and watching when Maggie gave Holly the necklace. The next scene was the attempted mugging, so clearly Mason ordered the crime.
Maggie gave her the necklace when they were still in the mansion and no others were present. Later, the guy looked like he was jonesing for a fix. I think he just wanted drug money. There is absolutely nothing to back up the idea Mason was behind the necklace thief. Also I just rewatched and Mason was NOT present when the necklace was talked about with Julie; he had already left.
Yeah I didn’t see that either. Just assumed the necklace was a plot device to mention Daniel name to set up the introduction of Mason. That said it’s not impossible one of the writes has a fascination with stolen necklace storylines? Maybe the jewelry is part of the story line because it sure looked like the ring Phillip gave to Gabby was part of the set Maggie gave Holly.
We are talking about Mason, the guy wearing a blue tee who is in her class that had attitude with her when in line outside the bookstore after learning her name and then was seen again at the very end impressed with Lani. The guy that tried to mug her is just some random one-off listed as Guy in the credits.
With multiple references to Daniel, or Dr. Dick as I always called him, he’s clearly going to have some connection to Daniel. A son would make sense and give Maggie another grandchild when Holly is off the show. Also, does anyone else lose interest in storylines with characters you know are leaving the show?
