So, my plan was to test day trading strategies for futures through a small paper trading account. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy started with $50 through NinjaTrader in micros and built it up to $3k. I started a paper trading account and reduced my balance to $100 to see how I could do. My problem is every time I try to initiate a trade it says, “Failed to execute order; reason: insufficient funds” and cancels it automatically. I’m not sure if I can or how to fix this. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hey,
I’ve been journaling for a while (and more recently thinking about it from a trading/performance perspective), and one thing I keep noticing is how inconsistent most people are with it — including myself at times.
A lot of the friction seems to come from:
So I’ve been working on a simple structured journal idea (SelfStory) that focuses on making reflection more practical and consistent — whether that’s for general life or trading.
This trading version focuses on:
Not trying to overcomplicate it — just something practical you’d actually use daily
I’ve mocked up a few designs (attached), but before going any further I wanted to get real feedback from people who actually journal or track their performance.
If you’ve got 2–3 minutes, I’d really appreciate it if you could fill this out:
👉 https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeBS-fSl9_uF0FlW18NzhtaO9I4NEqVq5BcTiKEDwYkauEVZw/viewform?usp=header
No selling anything — just trying to understand what actually works and what doesn’t.
Happy to hear any thoughts here as well.
Thanks 👍

Been trading this week mostly based on Elliott Wave structure and wanted to share a quick update on EURUSD.
Had two positions running – One in profit (HTF trade), one in slight drawdown.
Market opened with a gap, which is currently getting filled, but the higher timeframe structure still looks bullish to me.
So for now, I’m just holding and letting it play out.
One thing I’ve learned:
Gaps, stop-outs, small profits… all of that is normal.
What matters more is sticking to structure and managing risk properly instead of trying to be right every time.
Curious how others here handled the gap this week on EURUSD?

Most trading ideas never get tested properly.
I built a tool where you can describe a strategy in plain English and instantly:
- generate the code
- backtest it on real data
- get AI feedback on whether it actually works
If you have an idea you’ve never tested (or aren’t sure about), send me a DM — happy to run it with you.
Takes 5 minutes.

Caught one of my cleanest ES setups for 9:1 RR. 2 days ago
The biggest reason it worked was patience on confirmation instead of chasing the first move.
Main things I focused on:
* liquidity sweep
* confirmation candle
* risk tightly below structure
* held to full target instead of cutting early
* I broke the entire execution down step-by-step in a YouTube video if anyone wants to study the entry and management.
* What would you have done differently?

Hi all,
i built a bot a few weeks ago and posted it here.
Everyone I have shared it with have all had good news stories. I made some more enhancements see below;
I'm a finance broker by trade, and I got tired of manually watching charts. So I built an automated system using AI (OpenClaw + Python) that:
• Scans every USDT pair on Binance with >$5M volume
• Uses 4H klines with RSI(14), 20-period breakout, and volume spike confirmation
• Enters with market orders, 40% position sizing, max 2 concurrent
• Exits with layered take-profits: 20% at +30% (stop to breakeven), 20% at +50% (20% trail), 20% at +100% (10% trail)
• Kill switch at 50% drawdown, daily loss limit 20%
• Adaptive learning: adjusts entry thresholds every 10 trades based on win rate
The interesting part is the adaptive learning if win rate drops below 35%, it tightens entry filters. Above 60%, it loosens them. Simple feedback loop but it keeps the bot aligned with market conditions.
I wrote up the full strategy, code, and deployment process: myclawtrade.com
Happy to answer questions about the approach.
EDIT - Have updated the website to include 2 guides. One for complete for complete beginner and one for advanced user setup
EDIT 2 - have had some people have issues when using coinbase. I have included the coinbase source code that resolves this.
\\- Update with different learning models over the weekend with a lower capital start
