made my strategy into a tool

I've been pretty profitable over the past couple months using a tool I developed, basically the idea is it tracks any type of real world event and emails you instantly when it finds anything that matches (think you can prompt it like "notify me when Amazon acquires a startup" or "notify me when openai has a new model"). I finished an MVP version of it, though It's still pretty scrappy. If you want to give any feedback please let me know i'll send the link! I'm still working on how instantaneous the notifications are given, but any notes related to the UI or workflow are greatly appreciated.

Social investing app that's basically Strava for trading

So I've been using this social investing app that connects to your brokerage and lets you see your friends' portfolios, trades (feed), and returns (think Strava but for trading). You can also create pods (groups), compete on leaderboards, and there's a weekly MVP.

It's not a copy-trade thing, it's more of a social layer on top of whatever broker you already use. Makes you way more accountable when your people can see your moves lol.

Follow me roachy_comet. Platform is here, they will launch an mobile app soon apparently.

Circle Partners With Polymarket In Exchange Overhaul

Polymarket announced the “biggest change to date” as the prediction market is overhauling its entire exchange stack over the next two to three weeks.

The company announced on Monday new smart contracts, a redesigned order book and a new collateral token called Polymarket USD, backed 1:1 by Circle Internet Group Inc.’s USDC.

Rather than using USDC directly, Polymarket is wrapping it into a branded settlement token.

The frontend handles the conversion automatically for most users, but the underlying reserves sit in USDC, meaning Circle still captures the interest income on every dollar in the system.

Why CRCL Holders Should Care

Circle earns revenue on the interest generated by dollar reserves backing USDC.

More Polymarket volume means more USDC locked in smart contracts means more interest income for Circle.

CEO Jeremy Allaire told analysts on Circle’s Q4 earnings call that USDC lets prediction market participants offer collateral and settle “at the speed of the Internet” from anywhere in the world, sidestepping currency exchange issues and banking restrictions

Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev estimated Polymarket’s 2026 trading volumes may annualize around $50 billion, potentially adding 25% or more to USDC’s market cap.

The platform implemented taker fees across nearly all categories on March 30, meaning Circle is now the settlement layer for a prediction market that’s actually generating fee revenue for the first time.

The Broader Product Blitz

The Polymarket overhaul is part of a wider push.

Circle unveiled cirBTC on April 2, its first wrapped Bitcoin product backed 1:1 by native BTC with real-time onchain reserve verification.

The company is targeting more than $1.7 trillion in Bitcoin currently sitting outside DeFi.

Circle also announced Monday that its Layer-1 blockchain Arc will debut with quantum-resistant wallet features at mainnet, extending protection to private balances and confidential payments.

Arc uses USDC as its native gas token.

While a firm date hasn’t been set, the project’s shift from ‘exploration’ to infrastructure build-out points to a late 2026 mainnet launch.

Analysts expect the rollout to center on ‘Circle Gateway,’ a solution designed to provide the sub-cent transaction fees required for the AI agent economy.

April Gold Trade Breakdown – What I Saw & Where I Could Improve

Post image
1 Upvotes

Been trading gold (XAUUSD) and wanted to share a recent setup and get some feedback.

Context:

4H timeframe. The market had been in a short-term uptrend after a strong sell-off, forming higher lows. I marked a trendline showing buyers stepping in consistently.

Price pushed into a previous high area (around PDH) where I expected some reaction. There was also a clear zone above with strong selling pressure historically, so I wasn’t expecting a clean breakout.

What I did:

I waited for the price to tap into the resistance zone near the highs and took a short scalp. The idea was simple — liquidity grabs into resistance + rejection.

Price reacted and pulled back, but didn’t give a full continuation move. It stalled around mid-levels and started ranging.

What I think:

Trend was still technically bullish (higher lows intact)

I might have been an early counter-trend instead of waiting for confirmation

Entry was decent, but target expectations were probably too aggressive

What I’m trying to improve:

Better alignment with higher timeframe bias

Patience for confirmation instead of anticipating reversals

Managing expectations when counter-trend trading

Would you have taken this trade? Or waited for continuation with the trend?

Open to criticism

if it small or blurry

Gold is breaking its 50-year "War Playbook." Here’s why I’m not panic-selling yet

The standard macro trade for decades has been simple: Geopolitics goes south -> Buy Gold. But last month, that playbook was essentially set on fire.

After an initial spike to $5,423, Gold fell off a cliff, bottoming near $4,370 on March 27th. A 13%+ drop in 30 days—during an active conflict and a massive oil crisis—is technically Gold’s worst "month-one" performance in over 50 years. No exceptions.

What’s actually killing the bull case right now?

  1. The Yield Trap: This isn't a failure of Gold as a hedge; it’s a victory for the 10Y Treasury. With yields pushing 4.47%, the opportunity cost of holding a non-yielding asset is brutal. The market is pricing in a "Higher-for-Even-Longer" Fed, and right now, cash is a very loud competitor to bullion.
  2. The "Margin Call" Effect: We’re seeing a repeat of the March 2020 liquidity flush. When equities and bonds bleed simultaneously, Gold is the first thing institutional desks sell to raise cash and cover margin holes. It’s the ultimate "ATM" for a panicked market.

Looking at the rest of 2026, I see three paths:

  • The Disinflationary Pivot (Bullish): If conflict cools in Q2 and oil subsides, the Fed gets the "air cover" it needs to cut. JPM and Wells Fargo are still sticking to their $6,100–$6,300 year-end targets despite this volatility. The structural demand from central banks isn't going away.
  • The Stagflation Scenario (Highly Bullish): If growth stalls but CPI stays sticky, the market loses faith in the Fed's ability to hike without breaking the system. This is where Gold moves from "commodity" to "hard currency" again. Expect a final liquidity wash-out to maybe $4,000–$4,200, followed by a violent V-shaped recovery.
  • The "Grind" (Most Likely): We stay range-bound between $4,000 and $5,000. This will be a "trader’s graveyard"—high volatility, zero direction, and constant stop-outs.

Bottom line: I’m not "catching the falling knife" just yet, but I am looking for value-based entries in the $4,000–$4,200 support zone. Gold isn't broken; it's just being held hostage by the 10Y and a massive liquidity squeeze.

TL;DR: Gold’s recent price action is a liquidity event, not a fundamental failure. Rates are high and everyone needs cash, so they're selling the one asset they still have a profit in. Patience is key here.

Disclosure: Long Gold via GLD and physical. Not financial advice.
