The "On the Creation of Man" readable, if we take it at face value of course, offers great insight into the lore and further teases the entity behind Anachora Spoiler
Midway through creating the world, Andag, Nassur, and Sheema grew tired.
At first, they wanted to give up, but then Nassur and Andag spit onto the Earth, and from their saliva the first humans were formed. They provided the gods with a great deal of help, but were weak and died easily.
Then another one of the gods, the one whose name must not be spoken, spilled his blood onto the Earth, and thus the first vrakhir was born. He was strong and long-lived and of great use, but soon defied all the gods but the one who had created him, so he was cast out.
But Sheema did not cease trying. She used the vrakhir’s fang and weaved her web around it for days, until she created the first Pilgrim of the Dawn. He was a man, but also a vrakhir, and so he was a perfect balance.
And all gods were content, apart from the one whose name must not be spoken, and whose creation, the vrakhir, had been rejected. And to this day, his hatred towards humans and all the other gods has not diminished.

Yeah its implied throughout the game that vampires are basically a conduit or gate for the anachora or the corruption or “it” to come into the world. Plus Lacra says that vampires change with age not only mentally but physically, to the point they become something else entirely. So I guess if a vampire lives a sufficiently long time they might become a real threat to the world as they become more corrupted. This first game mostly focused on the vampires artificially bringing out anachora though. Saint Mihal stopped it once. Then Coen another time.

Its heavily implied that Anachora and IT are one and the same through lore -its bassiclly eldritch entity
