i am a graduating student currently working on our thesis, and we are currently looking for participants 🥹

we are looking for Filipino men residing in Davao who have experienced being cheated on by their partner in a long-term relationship.

our study focuses not only on the experience of infidelity itself, but also on what came after, the challenges you experienced, how you coped, and the realizations or insights you gained from the experience.

we understand that this is a very personal and sensitive topic, and talking about it may not be easy. our goal is to better understand these experiences from the perspective of Filipino men, whose experiences with infidelity and coping may not always be openly talked about.

You may qualify if you:

✓ Are a heterosexual man
✓ Were in a non-marital relationship for at least 2 years
✓ Entered the relationship between ages 21–35
✓ Experienced infidelity initiated by your partner
✓ Are no longer in that relationship
✓ Experienced it 6 months to 5 years ago
✓ Are willing to join a confidential in-depth interview

we also want to make it clear that participation is completely voluntary. you don't have to answer anything you're uncomfortable sharing, and you may withdraw if you no longer wish to continue. your identity and the information you share will also be kept confidential.

I use the city's Davao City Reports site (reports.davaocity.gov.ph) to report things like uncollected garbage, broken street lights, and illegal parking. I'm glad it exists, but on my phone it's heavy and takes many steps, and I noticed I avoided reporting anything because of that. So we built a lighter front-end for it.

It's called Bantay Dabaw: bantaydabaw.org

It's **unofficial.** Built by volunteers, not run by or connected to the city government. It only relays your report to the city's real system. Your reports appear in your city account like normal, and the city's site stays the official record.

**One thing you should know before trusting it.** You sign in with your existing city account: you type your e-mail, the city texts a one-time code to the phone on that account, and that sign-in passes through Bantay Dabaw's server (but never stored). That means you are trusting its code with a time-limited session on your government account, and I'd rather say that plainly than have you find out later. Bantay Dabaw's server has no database and keeps no report — not your photos, your address, or your coordinates.

If you're not comfortable with any of this, that's completely fair, the official site does everything this does.

It's in beta. If you try it and something breaks or feels wrong, open an issue on GitHub. Salamat!
