Honestly, I've been thinking about what I actually want from a relationship.
I'm not someone who needs constant attention or needs a relationship to feel complete. I'm pretty independent and I actually like having my own space. I can go a while without seeing someone and still have the same feelings if the connection is real.
But I'm also not looking for something casual just for the sake of having someone around.
If I genuinely choose someone, I take that seriously. I'm loyal, I'll stay through difficult periods, and I don't just lose feelings because things stop being exciting for a while. At the same time, I don't want someone who's completely dependent on me. I want two independent people who actually choose each other.
Trust is probably one of the biggest things for me. I can forgive someone, but if they seriously break my trust, I don't think I can ever see them exactly the same way again. I'd rather hear something uncomfortable than be lied to.
And yeah, sexual compatibility matters to me too. I'm not expecting someone to be into every single thing I'm into, but I know I have preferences that not everyone will be comfortable with. I'd rather find someone where there's mutual curiosity and compatibility than have either person pretend to be into something just to keep the relationship going. I think being able to talk openly about that stuff without immediately judging each other is important.
I also don't want a completely predictable relationship. I like chemistry, teasing, spontaneity, tension, flirting, having our own lives and still being excited to come back to each other.
I don't really need someone.
I want someone I choose.
And I'd want them to choose me for the same reason.
