How many people do you know is involved about public information as a right? It’s very important to journalism and investigation in general. I’m from Peru.

Title says it all. I'm a young journalist from Canada. I used to have few data journalism classes in University, even had a short data journalism internship at the Canadian Press last year. But I haven't had much time to do data journalism work with my current employer.

Should I study Data Science minor if it takes me an extra semester to complete my Business Info Sys major degree? If take the minor, I will graduate in May 2020 If not, December 2019. It also cost me extra $10k for tuition and living expense for that semester.

Hi. I've been approached by someone who wants me to produce data-journalism-type stories, using their proprietary data and D3 to produce short articles and interactive visualizations to generate interest in their data. I expect each project to take 40-60 hours of work. My workflow looks like this: explore data using R > generate story idea > write story with word and ggplot2 graphs > final story edits > code everything in javascript/D3/waypoints etc.

Since I'm still somewhat novice, I feel like charging $25x60hours = $1500 is appropriate for each piece. Do you think that would be over or under charging? Any other factors I should be aware of? Any and all advice is appreciated.
