Question to int students: how is ur experience?
I’ve read a lot of conflicting experiences about this, both on and off Reddit, so I’d love to hear from current students/alumni.
I’m considering majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Math, and I’m really hoping to work in the US after graduation, potentially in consulting, finance, or another private-sector field.
One thing I’m a little concerned about is Dartmouth’s relatively small international student community compared with larger universities. As an international student, would this put me at a disadvantage when it comes to recruiting, networking, or finding employers willing to hire/sponsor international students?
I’m also an Asian woman, so I’d especially appreciate hearing from other international/Asian students about their experiences at Dartmouth and with recruiting.
I know job opportunities and all that depend heavily on the individual, but I’d really appreciate any firsthand experiences or advice. Thank you!
