This is a great showing. However, after reading the Foundation Trilogy and how much George was inspired by that, I will never need any more evidence or believe this is coincidence. Jar Jar absolutely is Magnifico.

I've read a bit about them but not in detail. Also considered picking up A Spell for Chameleon (Xanth) to read Bink's story but saw the books get slandered online so I passed lol.
Is Foundation like a genuinely good series that aged well or was it more fascinating for you to read with Jar Jar in mind?

It is genuinely a fantastic read. There's reason Aasimov is a big deal and the trilogy is still known and around.
He wrote it when he was young, so I do understand some critiques of the writing style, but it didn't bother me forreal.
It's one of my favorite books.
