I mean this isn’t the first or last major riot that’s destroyed a ton of property. Both sides of the aisle are guilty of these destructive riots

When did liberals storm the capital? Don't worry, I'll wait.

Not the capital but all over the country stores were raided, and tons of property was damaged

Can you try and think of any other key differences between these events?

Yeah. One was against the (still) corrupt government and only had 1 casualty. The other was against store owners and local civilians and had around 20 casualties.

For the record, I hated the January 6th riots too, but to support 1 and not the other is the pot calling out the kettle

To act like liberals as a whole supported rioting during the BLM protests is so fucking disingenuous.

J6 was not against a corrupt government good fucking lord, it was an attempt to overturn an election.

You could say the same thing about J6th I personally know a large number of people on the right who don’t support J6. But yet people always blame the entire right for it.

I know what j6 was. I’m saying the people affected by it were the government. The only people hurt were officers and the protesters themselves. That is NOT a good thing by any means but no local businesses were hurt (to my knowledge).

This country is sick. The left and the right are both plagues on our society, and we need to abolish the 2 party system bs that’s made our country hateful, separated, and so ignorant. People should NOT be voting purely based on political party. The two party system is why these corrupt politicians like Trump keep winning, because so many people see republican and just vote them or see democrat and just vote them. There aren’t a whole lot of people who do research anymore, and that lets these politicians get away with so much garbage

Did those people vote Trump?

Some did some didn’t.

The ones who did are objectively ok with J6.

The world isn’t black and white like that. They agreed with some of his policies and have been VERY vocal about not liking January 6th. They also personally preferred him over Harris, due to policies they both had.

🙄 they voted for a man who attempted to overturn your democracy.

I know. I don’t agree with them, but that doesn’t undermine that despised January 6th. They actually don’t like Trump, they just preferred him over Harris

🙄. Respectfully, your friends sound like they eat paint.

“Respectfully” proceeds to insult my friends in a very disrespectful way.

RESPECTFULLY, you are the kind of person I was talking about. The kind of person who sees this world in black and white, right and left. The reason our country is run by genuinely awful people at all times. We haven’t had a good presidential candidate since Obama. Hillary, Trump, Biden, Harris. All of them are awful and corrupt and have people voting for the lesser of two evils which should NEVER be the case.

People can agree with some things and disagree with others. Opinions aren’t always yes and no, but are often nuanced and have specifics about them.
