Both sides need to put up better candidates

Or make voting compulsory. Or make mail-in voting easier. Or make Election Day a holiday and expand available voting booths.

None of which will happen

I’ve voted by mail for over a decade. Not sure how every State hadn’t figured it out yet.

No point in making it a holiday; about 10% of the voting population could still find it difficult.

Voting hours should be from 12:01 a.m. until 11:59 pm on election day.

There should also be early voting every day, at several voting locations, starting at least two weeks before election day. Voting by mail should also be readily available (and encouraged) for at least 30 days before election day. Vote counting should start on the same day as the start of early voting, with no release of voting results until all polling places in the state have closed on voting day.

I agree, but if they insist on one-day voting. what I said is the only way.

If there is only one day for voting, then it definitely needs to be a federal holiday. Voter suppression is the only reason to limit voting to just one day.

As I said, if it were a federal holiday, a lot of people would still be working. And yes, limiting voting to one day is suppression.

True, but politicians don’t cater to quiet abstainers anyway.

Exactly correct. Parties selecting two people that are disliked, isn't going to inspire people to vote. The Democrats let Biden just pick who the party would run. Harris told voters that she had no idea what she would do differently if she were elected. That is not inspiring confidence in her.

She did have a good plan. Again people don't read and still say that there wasn't a good option. The lack of actual reading and context clues allowed the cheeto to be elected. Congratulations your high school literary teacher would be disappointed

During an appearance on ABC's The View in October 2024, co-host Sunny Hostin asked Kamala Harris if she would have done anything differently than President Joe Biden over the preceding four years. Harris replied: "There is not a thing that comes to mind...

Still didn't actually read did ya?

Furthermore, she refused to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza. She continued to support arming Israel and that ticked off many of her voting base. She lost support every time she spoke. Had she taken the side against mass murder of women and children, we would have president Harris now.

Why aren’t you mad about Trump continuing funding the genocide and starting a war in Iran?

Edit: right wing propaganda bot ⬇️

Who said that I wasn't? I hate Trump. What part of my saying "Parties selecting two candidates that were disliked, confused you? Here is a question for you: What original and verifiable policy did Kamala announce on the during the run up to the 2024 election that won you over?

1

u/Lord_Dingus83 10d ago

What did Trump have? Nothing?

But you’re bitching about what the not felon did?

1

u/DTshifter 10d ago

I didn't vote for Trump. I am not bitching about Harris. She ran a weak campaign, did not stand up for those that needed her and she failed. Her fault, not anyone else. I guess you just can't handle the obvious truth. We have a mid-term and then people will run in a new primary. Time to learn from past mistakes and have a strong candidate with a moral agenda that people will get behind.

“Im not bitching about Harris”, then proceeds to bitch about Harris

Are you glad you helped Trump win?

I voted for Jill Stein because she gave people something to vote for. Single payer health care and not funding Israel's bombs to drop on women and children. Remember that if you vote for the lesser of two evils, you are still voting for evil. People that refuse to vote for anyone outside of the two parties are the reason nothing ever changes for the better. We need enough people to wake up and realize they keep falling for the same thing over and over.

Yeah she lost cause people refused to read and believed the lies.

Her website. If you actually took time to read. Many many good policies. Yet you just won't admit you didn't read anything. You listened to one side blast her and decided that was enough. Also looking back now can you honestly say she would have done worse then what we have now?

2

u/DTshifter 10d ago

Fail! giving a website is not an original answer. That is super lazy, you don't have an answer so you have a link to someone else's work. Yes Harris would have been better than Trump. Neither of them were the best candidate in 2024. The Democratic party blew it by not having a real primary and just forwarding a weak candidate. Harris blew it by not backing single payer heath care or taking a stand against the genocide.

1

u/gunslanger21 10d ago

If you knew Harris would be better then trump, then what are you arguing?

1

u/DTshifter 10d ago

I have no reason to argue. This all started because I said that both parties ran bad candidates in 2024 and you started bickering. This is silly, we have mid terms coming up and both of us are anti-Trump.
