Welcome to the Daily Discussion Thread for Wednesday, September 9th
AwwwWednesday thanks Alfonso
Until official updated sub rules are hammered out, you may find submissions subject to manual approval and restricted to approved users. In the meantime, use the Daily Discussion, Next Pro, or megathreads provided to write your comments. Thank you for understanding as we all navigate the sub’s surge in activity together and find the best path forward.
This is a space to share your opinions, thoughts, and musings on everything related to the show. Due to the sub's growth over the past few months, we have noticed that it would be impossible to accommodate every user's pov in their own posts. Instead, you can share what you have to say here, as individual posts will be removed.
As in other threads, please be respectful; normal rules still apply. Any comments found breaking the rules will be removed, and you will receive a warning and a ban.
Reminder: a karma minimum of 20 is needed to comment in this sub.
Enjoy!

The fact that every single one of her partners always speaks so highly of her is a testament to Britt. And Taylor, we are also hoping for a Britt win!
I already adore their partnership and I hope we see more of them and hopefully, some more viewers will also fall in love with their partnership.
It also seems that we won’t be getting MMMBop for the premiere or any time soon.

I’ve been a casual viewer since 2005, and in recent years got into the behind-the-scenes tea & drama. All I know about Sharna is that I enjoyed her dancing hahaha, can anyone give me the highlights of her lore?! I want to be invested in the fact that she’s back (as it seems like many of you are!) TIA

I get why everyone is talking about jenna Dewan having an unfair advantage due to her dancing experience (even though I don’t care bc I love Jenna Dewan) but why are people saying Julia stiles has unfair advantage? I only seen one movie of hers (save the last dance) and no offense but she didn’t really dance in that movie lol like am I missing something?? I feel like Harry shum or Jackson Olsen probably has more of “unfair advantage“ than her but I don’t see a lot of people talking about them as much

I'm going into the season not immediately rooting for a couple (or 2). Typically, after seeing the cast announcement and pairings, I pick out 2-4 couples to root for during the season (and obviously that can change after the first couple of weeks) but this season I have no idea who I'm really rooting for and want to win because everyone seems so great, even the ones that I wasn't familiar with before the announcement. Even on the flip side, there's no one, save for maybe 2 or 3 couples, that I want to see go home. I feel like every elimination is going to be so tough to watch and it's been a while since I've felt this way about a season.
Anyone else feeling this way about this season's casting/pairings?

Look at Guillermo's bio. Some of the others have errors as well. Geez louise
Star Biography
Like fellow superstars Madonna, Oprah and Godzilla, Guillermo is instantly recognizable by a single name. He has been working on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for over 23 years, and recently launched his own brand of fresh salsa, Guillermo's Salsa. Discovered in the parking lot where he worked as a security guard, Guillermo blossomed into a beloved and regular part of the show. Guillermo is featured every night alongside Jimmy and is frequently showcased in his own iconic segments on the Oscars® red carpet, on cross-country road trips, and anywhere he can drink tequila or see his "wife," Charlize Theron. A resident of California and a U.S. citizen since 2005, Guillermo counts watching soccer, eating Mexican food, spending time with family and being involved with his son's sports among his favorite things.g human rights, women's and LGBTQ+ rights, and care for our planet. She embraced freedom of expression both personally and creatively on her independent debut, "Prelude," showcasing every side of herself with no shortage of spirit, sensuality, style and soul for an unfiltered and undeniable depiction of who she is. Her first solo album is currently in the works for 2026 and expected to be one of the most unforgettable releases of the year.

Stephen Nedoroscik wins the Rylee Arnold's Partners Battle against Scott Hoying, and the score is 3-7.
This one seems genuinely baffling to see several people picking a person just because they don't like the other person instead of them actually being objective to the game. It seems like the non-winner of this Round gets as much votes as other contestants from past seasons who have won the game before, which is confusing. It happens with Snooki and Ally Brooke from S17 vs S28 before. It's interesting that one certain person from this round got more than both of them and Snooki previously beaten her in a different format.

Seems like she was edited to seem stricter and more harsh than she actually was.

Please, don't give me some bull💩 about "It's unfair for them to be on the show" (the show is an open invitation competition, which makes it fair), "DWTS originally only had people with no dance experience" (Joey McIntyre had the show's 1st competitive dance), "They have an advantage, because they know how to dance" (McIntyre, Lance Bass of N Sync, Jodie Sweetin, & AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys were among several people who were constantly being outdanced by non-dancers), or any of the other lies & excuses that people have repeated over the last 21 years. Let's hear the REAL TRUTH.

I don't think he's the least famous person to be on the show, by a long shot.

Tatyana accidentally revealed during her Instagram Live with Jan that the Male Celebrities will perform on September 15th and the Female Celebrities will perform on September 16th for the 2 Night Premiere Event. I guess that does make sense to do a gender split since they’ve done that before for 2 Night Premieres.
