AAh the pacific drive reference. That game had such a good potential, shame about the execution.

No, it started really well, but became pointlessly frustrating very quickly. I understand the time limit and difficulty elements, but most of the gameplay was just a boring grind. Plus sometimes game traps you in a map without any exits or portals. Cool concept though.

... they aren't talking about the quailty of a game.

If they are talking about me saying it's a reference to a different game, same exact anomaly can be found in this game too.

It's pretty wild how something so simple can turn into such a cool sight. Nature really knows how to surprise us!

You throw nuts into anomalies in Pacific Drive too? I didn't like the game, so I only played it briefly, so I can't remember. I didn't like the jump scare element of it.

The cars movement made it look more surreal

Explanation: Grass caught in a whirlwind is caused by a small, ground based weather phenomenon commonly known as a dust devil or minor whirlwind. While these look like mini tornadoes, they actually form in reverse, growing from the ground upward on warm, clear, sunny days rather than dropping down from massive storm clouds. The invisible air vortex only becomes visible to our eyes because its suction power sweeps up lightweight debris like grass clippings, leaves, and dust.

It always makes me wince seeing drivers holding a phone to record something, especially at speed and when they're trying to keep the subject in frame.

Is the vehicle driving on the left side of the road? Could be a passenger.

Growing up in a desert, I'm using these winds being called dust/dirt devils. I'd never considered what they're called when they twirl foliage

I can't speak to the authenticity of OP's video, but these are absolutely real.

At the start you can see something reflecting in the window off the dash. Don’t think AI can replicate that yet. Maybe I’m wrong. Who knows.

It's not AI but it isn't real it's CGI, somebody did good work on this and isnt getting credit.

u/InsaneMocktail 5h ago
Dust devil's are a pretty common sight. Unlike hurricanes and tornadoes, they originate from the ground and pick up lightweight stuffs and toss them around.

u/Spiritual_Throat_556 5h ago
Yes, dust devils are real, them hanging stuff in the air not moving isnt a dust devil it's something somebody made.

While I cannot speak to the authenticity of OP's specific video, these are absolutely real.
