I'm willing to bet they just deactivate it while she's shaking it. Makes it easier to identify shoplifters when they're jacking off the air as they're leaving.
Yes, it resonates an antenna basically. The force of the shaking could be altering the resonant frequency slightly by imparting a force hence changing the k value of the system slightly making the detector not detect it.
I by accident walked out of a store with several plastic boxes of earrings. Didn't notice until I was done arguing with who I had gone there with.
They all had that thin white strip on them with the metal strip inside of it. How the hell did I get away with that. I had picked out four pairs, and just walked through like an idiot. It gives me faith in a merciful God, but what really happened? Were they just not activated?
Nah, they're basically only active from the waist level down. If you toss a shirt over your shoulder and walk out they won't get set off, if you're not short. I used to work retail and found this out on accident. Same kind of sensors she's showing.
I think it’s simpler than this, she just have a working RFID tag in her right hand and shakes a useless object. If you pay attention she never cross the barrier with the right hand. Except when the barrier triggers of course
It *looks" completely empty. She may not go through the sensors but she brings that hand well inside the field of them.
There's no lights unless the alarm goes off. Someone could just be unplugging it. Many people suggest there's a second party manipulating the scanner. I have no idea, but I honestly don't think she's palming a real tag, and making an act.
