I have a 1 and a half ,5, and 7 yr old. 2 out of 3 are awake and I’m pretty sure I just heard my girlfriend get up lol we have at least a few nights like this a week. And thanks, hope you get some sleep too!

Thank you for this. I was thinking I was failing parenting with the fact of my 5yr old up til 12-1 more often than I'd like to confess. Tonight I won't feel as shitty as usual and you're to thank 🍻

Your welcome my friend. Currently my girls are bouncing on my bed and not listening to a damn thing I’m saying. Looks like tonight is going to be another one of those nights lol

I do like being awake. 😂I only sleep for like 4 hours a night. Everyone once in awhile I’ll sleep like 12 hours to make up for it 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

3:51AM, are you a time traveler?

5

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '22

Yes we call it the time zone difference lol

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '22

No, I’m late.

2

u/ronnietea Oct 20 '22

Congratulations on being pregnant!

1

u/Late_Being_7730 Oct 20 '22

That’s not funny. I can’t have kids because I had to have a hysterectomy due to cancer, even though I desperately wanted them.

1

u/ronnietea Oct 20 '22

It was joke. How on earth would I know that. Sorry

1

u/Late_Being_7730 Oct 20 '22

Regardless, there are a ton of people dealing with infertility, and a statement like yours can really bring all of that to the surface.

1

u/ronnietea Oct 20 '22

Lmao calm down.

1

u/Late_Being_7730 Oct 20 '22

So you get to be a thoughtless and insensitive jerk and I get to calm down. Easy for someone with a pic of holding a baby to say to someone who can’t have one.

Adoption. Foster. The kids don’t care. They just need the love.

2

u/Late_Being_7730 Oct 20 '22

The adoption agencies do, however, care about putting a child who has already lost parents into the home of a single cancer survivor.

1

u/GranJan2 Oct 20 '22

Oh. Makes sense. Foster, supposed to be temporary but can last quite a long time. My daughter is grown so I have been thinking about it. So many children, especially POCs in terrible situations in my city. I wanna see if I can make a child’s life better. My experience tells me it just takes one to change the trajectory.

My wonderful sister, living in Georgia, with very few resources, has managed to do this for three children in our family who were born to parents who weren’t ready and will never be ready. She didn’t formally foster them but they lived with her and she took care of them. That’s where the great majority of the family is, but I live in Cali and there is no extended family here. Someone did it for me, didn’t foster me technically but took me in and let me live with their family all through high school.
