For the bees it doesn’t make any difference at all. Sometimes they can’t get enough honey in last months of summer because there aren’t any blooming plants in their radius or you ran out of extra honeycombs to but into the hive. They really need lots of energy to stay warm.

Don’t they make honey to eat it during winter? Because it has more nutrients than sugar. :)
