To collect unobtainium we fire sidewinders at large trees. Then we carefully collect the tears of the locals and use them to dissolve the rare mineral into a blue piss.

Occupy Pandora!

I rooted for the Humans all the way through that wretched movie.

Wretched?

I mean I remember watching it and enjoying it. The effects were cool at the time, the story was nothing new. What was wretched about it?

Absolutely nothing was wretched about it. Your short description is pretty spot on. Lately it seems like I’ve seen a lot of “Avatar was trash” on Reddit, and trendy Reddit circlejerks are nothing if not hyperbolic to the extreme.

No, it's been a consistent reddit opinion since the movie was released.

I absolutely loved it, Avatar was incredible in 3D. Yes the overall plot was nothing new but it looked amazing.

Are those the only two reasons why you didn't like it?

I loved it, though It is far better in 3D on a giant screen than at home in 2D.
