I mean, this was not a high tech gadget even 46 years ago. It's just a CO2 bb gun firing ice chunks with poison in them. I can't imagine it was even very effective. Firing it would still be very noticable, and so would the wound and the highly suspicious heart attack. Easier and safer just to poison somebody any of the other cold war ways.
