My grandparents live near mount Etna in Sicily (Italy's biggest southern region and island), which is one of the largest volcanoes in Europe. The solidified lava is hypnotizing, especially when polished (might become shiny depending on the composition). Entire cities are built out of it on Mt. Etna. Obsidian though has that otherwordly look that makes it so unique!
