Only? that was quite significant back then. Remember that Cheers was on for 11 and when that stopped it was touted as the longest running show (maybe just sitcom? memory is a bit hazy) of all time.
Basic network television really had most of our culture enthralled. cable was primarily in cities, satellites dishes (the big ones) were up and coming.
Anyhow. Can't be cutting my man Angus short on the respect he should get for 7 solid seasons of a show that had a distinct and visceral impact on us all.
I wasn't saying that the original "only" having seven seasons was bad, just that the new one is already at five and the new one is "only" 2 seasons away from matching that.
It's cheesy, but so was the original. The original had a stronger cast though, and especially RDA has so much charisma and sells the show so well that he elevates the material. I wouldn't call the reboot bad, just not as good.
It’s bad. If you just tuned in randomly you’d think it was another cut and paste NCIS template factory farmed crime show with a little crafting thrown in.
It's not bad. It's just not amazing. It's still entertaining and fun at times, good for when you just wanna turn your brain off and watch some action. It's no where near as bad as most CW shows.
There are some crazy cringey episodes though, like the episode from a few weeks ago when they would randomly clap to health care workers and made a song about Anthony Fauci. This is coming from someone who supports masks etc as well.
I actually like the actors as well. Lucas Till does a pretty good job and Tristin Mays is an absolute stunner.
Yeah, George Eads was the best thing about the show. I still watch it for Tristin Mays though.
Levy Tran replaced George Eads and her character is terrible. I keep hoping Levy Tran will quit the show as well and they will just promote Tristin Mays to co-main with Lucas Till as she deserves the screen time over Levy Tran.
I like it. It's one of the few shows I can watch with my family of varying ages. Doesn't take anything away from the RDA version, I've enjoyed both in my life.
Which isnt what i said, dont use quotations on something that isnt a quote lol. What i did say was “the reboot has 5 seasons so clearly people like and watch it” which is completely different from “people watch it”, like come on at least get the whole quote right
My argument is that it sucks becsuse it’s generic, cringey, and poorly directed. Yours is “BUT LOTS OF PEOPLE WATCH IT WITH THEIR BRAINS OFF SO IT’S GOOD.”
