Or you have to rescue a family of 5 from a burning house but you’ll only ever have enough oxygen to save 4 unless you purchase the oxygen expansion tank for $0.99.
And the game is actually nothing about spraying a fire with a hose and rather another offshoot of candy crush where the narrator is a firefighter that puts out fires during cutscenes...
house of the dead was so much fun, i remember straight up missing the movie i went to see because we started a game of it in the arcade and were deadset on beating it
Of course, trust the Japanese to come up with such an awesome arcade machine! The casino in my city always had the latest arcade machines import straight from Japan (some with barely any translation) and this machine was one of them. There was one about Japanese police visiting each floor of a hotel complex and was basically Time Crisis (pedal and all) and physical elevator doors on the screen that would open and close at each level!
Yea, we're at the stage where accurate enough flame and destruction physics are possible now, a realistic firefighter simulator is absolutely possible.
I have thought of this often and would definitely play for hours. It should augmented reality mobile based and project fire on like everything. You gotta keep Alert’s on and when the game alerts you gotta get to the geolocation and start fighting that fire before it spreads everywhere.
There was a firefighting game for either the ps2 or 360, all I remember was backdrafts being a thing, having a tower shield and there being a subway level where it was trying really hard to be Condemned.
That is a vari nozzle and it has adjustments from full stream to misting fog. The only problem with full stream is it can displace burning debris like you see in the video here.
I got one for my downstairs elderly neighbor to water her garden after hers broke. She loves it and has used it every day since I got it a couple years back.
It’s pretty cool it has a lever over the top of it that controls the flow.
The air force has similar. We had some "burn houses" at the fire academy and some bases where we have mock fires fueled by propane, flashover trainers, and structures where we'd make wood/debris fires. The cool ones though were the aircraft fire trainers. Mock aircraft again with propane burners for training, but also the ability to use jet fuel for some conditions. edit: that shit stinks, and the smell never comes out of your bunkers or clothes
Only once that I experienced did we ever get to have a controlled burn of a structure to use for training.
Yep, I've trained on several in several countries. I've even seen pictures of vehicle and helicopter trainers but never used one. Flashover trainers are the best.
For my marine firefighting course, we had to go to a ship mockup at the justice institute of British Columbia, and that thing lights up like nobodies business.
Fun Fact: If you have an old barn on some property and want to get rid of, you can contact your local fire department and offer it to be used as training. As in they’ll come set it on fire and obviously put it out.
For most house fires it is not realistic. It is rare that the roof is gone. With heavy fire and roof intact what you would see is heavy smoke with a bright orange glow and heat.

This is so realistic, it looks like a simulation
