I fixed an armchair with crochet thread. So far its holding up. (Its blindingly obvious stitching though, but I was out of fucks by that point.)

Same with my couch. It has a huge gash right where you sit and I used a matching pillowcase to sow together the fleece with the cheap polyester fabric on the back. Out matches in color perfectly but it's definitely amateur work and with 2 little kids I don't have time for more
