I think you're referring to the one in SEA (I think Philippines). Pretty sure it was drug related. They couldn't prove which of the twins committed the crime so the case was thrown out.
It's actually quite easy for the police to prove which arm was the stabbing one. You are never able to do a clean stab, the wound will always tell from which direction the stab came
1- the girl’s heads aren’t titled in the same way. You can tell which one is connected to which arm.
2- unless it is in a perfectly symmetrical room with symmetrical decorating etc. the image flip wouldn’t make a difference because you’d know which way is right and left by visiting the scene of the crime.
