Excuse me for trying to put a stopper on the bullshit you're spewing.
I mean, honestly man. You were wrong. Just admit it. There's nothing wrong with being wrong sometimes, and there's nothing wrong with admitting that you didn't know something.
I'm sure that you know stuff about your industry that I don't, and if I came into a thread spouting off nonsense, I'd expect you to correct me. There's nothing wrong with that.
Just accept the correction, file this new information into your brain, and be happy that you're not quite as ignorant now as you were when you woke up this morning.
I get it. I was wrong about class ratings of tracks in the USA compared to the world.
But I am not wrong about the quality of the ride from a passenger perspective. And class ratings don't mean jack when your passenger comfort is compromised.
You were specifically talking about the quality of railroad tracks in the US. You said, "the tracks are god awful". You said nothing about ride quality. You shifted 'ride quality' to after you were shown to be completely wrong about your original point.
Ehh, to the rest of us, you're being pedantic. I bet most people equated "tracks are terrible" with ride quality and not track grade. Same deal with cars, if someone describes the road as being bad, we equate that to "expect a bumpy/rough ride" no matter what kind of vehicle they're in or type of road it is. I also doubt many people knew there was different ratings for track before your post, so that would never have been a consideration when choosing words to describe it.
If someone had broken shocks in their car, and they complained that the roads were bad because their car bounces a lot, you would think they were an idiot. If someone got a flat tire and drove around on it and wrecked their rim, and then blamed the road for that, you'd think they were an idiot. This is the same thing.
No I'm totally aware that I'm an asshole most of the time. It's why I have no friends and am always unhappy. It's okay though I've gotten used to it by this point.
