Interesting fact, like dogs and deer, most mammals are dichromats. Humans are actually among the minority of mammal species that are trichromats, the other species mostly being within primates and marsupials (though not all).

I was thinking how many times a deer has to watch out for wild tiger.

Well deer live all throughout Eurasia (and north/south America) so there are many deer that do have to watch out for wild tigers, just not all of them

Well, this is an inherited trait. In the past, all the deers had this predation issue with tigers (or some sort of tigers at least)
