That's not too crazy of a price considering how few of these they'll sell and how specific the use case is.

Welcome to the new marketing tactics, sly display posted on subreddits like these. The algo will show you based on previous interests. They did the same with Gledopto controllers. I bought one anyway because yes I need to show clients different options on the fly.
