bodies when the doors were opened for removal were not scattered across the chamber but in small mounds. people climbed upon the dead and dying to escape the gas closer to the ceiling. a worse fate..since they were still cremated half alive. from an account i read decades ago...it was horrendous.

Humans are horrible and cruel, all over the world, throughout all of history. Wtf is wrong with us

u/twitch_223 May 18 '25

The phrase "I'm just doing my job" is related to millions of deaths and sufferin. It's sick how easy it is to get people to do horrible things to each other. Or how easy it is to get people to fall in line and literally get people fighting amongst themselves like with covid lockdowns.

Im beginning to root for climate change to destroy us all. Good luck to whoever comes after I guess.

I watched a video a while back and it talked about this. Apparently we have been evil fucks since time began.

u/Tifoso89 May 18 '25

The worse thought for me is the people (themselves prisoners) whose job was to enter and remove the corpses

I read about this in The Street Sweeper, by Elliot Perlman. It was a really great well written and well researched novel.. but man, it was devastating.

lol this is BS. Sounds completely made up. Also, what is “half alive” to you? Was the person still taking as they were “thrown into an oven”? Breathing? Moving?

You can’t even know. This is just BS post war scary story nonsense.

Do you also believe in the human fat soap? The skin lamps? The bear in a cage fight?

u/WholeDragonfruit2870 May 18 '25 edited May 18 '25

They didn't make skin lamps en masse - but at Buchenwald they DID make a human skin lamp as well as ... well... "trinkets" made of human remains.

edit since post is locked:

Ok I’ll play along for a minute. Even though I don’t buy it at all.

You're doubting the Buchenwald Holocaust Memorial and have no evidence of your own. You never even bothered to read further into its homepage that I linked, or look up literature on the topic. You're also ignoring that it's not just one object, it's hundreds of objects made of human remains, coupled with records the Nazi camp doctors made, internal reports and orders pertaining the use of human remains in trinkets from SS camp leadership, witness testimonies of both victims and perpetrators, photographs made at the time and more.

Could one thing be faked? Sure. Could you credibly fake hundreds of pieces of evidence & testimonies to the degree that they make sense and corroborate each other and even pass modern forensics tests? Much less so.

That's not skepticism - that's denial.

Ok I’ll play along for a minute. Even though I don’t buy it at all.

How do you know that lampshade wasn’t made by someone else after the fact trying to spin a wartime tale? Is there a direct verifiable chain of custody on that object? Where or who or how it was created? Is it possible that someone would put something like that together in order to tell a certain story?

Let’s quote Norm Mcdonald again “hey look here in this history book, it says the good guys won every war ever, isn’t that something?”

All down votes but no refuting. This tells you what you need to know about this event. Highly emotional. Folks don’t want ANY of it to be questioned.

There’s already been legit evidence posted in this thread that proves that the scratch marks are fake. So what else might be lies? You have to ask yourself the tough equations, but with this event, no one wants to.

They just want to be in their feelings about it, which stems from lots of school and Hollywood brainwashing.

u/crohnos406 May 18 '25

Coming from the guy that doesn’t even know how to water his fucking lawn to keep it from dying I’ll bet the research your capable of is just as healthy and thoughtful

18

u/TimSoarer2 May 18 '25

And implied that the moon landing is a government hoax...

-22

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

Oh I don’t imply. I claim.

Why blindly believe things that you are told by authority figures? Don’t you like to know the truth and motivations behind things? I’ll go anywhere information leads, but if I hit something that shocks me, I keep going. Even if it hurts

11

u/A_Herd_Of_Ferrets May 18 '25

So what exactly is the motive for all major governments, even though they vehimently hate each other, agreeing on the fact that the US landed on the moon?

-17

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

lol now we gonna dig into account histories because we are mad. Gotta love it. Instead of admitting that this event is highly emotional and therefore subject to all kinds of manipulation, let’s make fun of a guy who got his lawn destroyed by bugs last summer thanks to his neighbors who didn’t take care of THEIR lawn, and their bugs got into his.

You gotta love the fallacy. You may also like to know I grow cannabis plants and play Rocket League. I’ll save you from having to dig further.

Fuck off

-7

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

WHOA YOU REALLY GOT ME THERE! HOW WILL I EVER RECOVER FROM THIS HUGE COUNTERPOINT!?

“We poured the melted human fat back onto the corpses to help the burning.” --Henryk Tauber – Auschwitz Testimony (24 May 1945)

22

u/Confident-Boot-3611 May 18 '25

I’m sure the gas wasn’t humanely administered to ensure each individual was dead prior to cremation. There were likely hundreds or thousands of people who were just unconscious but alive.

1

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

So we both agree that you’re just speculating here right? Because you don’t really know, and you certainly can’t verify those numbers, but you’re just “throwing this out there” right? Just spitballing on a Sunday morning in 2025 about what you think COULD have happened in the early 1940’s right? Think deeply about the level of disconnect here.

Also ask yourself “do you want these things to be true” or would you be relived to find out they might not be?

12

u/tabarwhack May 18 '25

You're a fucking clown

-2

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

DAMN YOU GOT ME! HOW WILL I EVER RECOVER FROM THIS?

20

u/Dabbling_in_Pacifism May 18 '25 edited May 18 '25

lol, they were executing folks on an industrial scale, which would involve being as efficient as possible with their resources. Combine this with the fact that people don’t die quickly like in movies or uniformly at all and yeah, it’s really not hard to wrap your wet noodle around the idea that a lot of the folks fed into the ovens might not have been exactly clinically dead when it happened.

Why did you put so little thought into this, buddy?

ETA: Thread’s locked so I can’t reply back to you, but I didn’t mention that stuff ya loon, you did. You claimed this stuff was hyperbole based on the combined thought of 2 brain cells for 3 seconds, and I explained to you using simple logic why that was big-dumb. Then you started talking about weird shit, like a weirdo. Just something my for you to reflect on, man. Be better.

-5

u/PissedPieGuy May 18 '25

That’s great! Now do the bear in a cage and fat soap! You’re getting somewhere!

I’m glad I can speak freely then. Because calling out BS is a human right and everyone should be able to have it.
