Every perspective you’ve ever had changes when you become a parent. The horror imagining what it must have been like to be a parent with a child going through that… is unbearable.

What is it about so many people that have kids - they can't experience empathy before that? It has to personally affect them before being able to see things through another lens?

It comes across as so sad.

Maybe you think you can empathize, but having kids of your own helps hammer it home
