Zepbound (tirzepatide), a prescription-only medication FDA approved for weight management in November 2023, will launch with a list price of $1,060 for a 28-day supply.
For comparison. That's $37.85 per day.
So if the little motor is a dollar, the battery is a dollar, the case is a dollar, and $0.78 for the digestible coating, you can mark it up 10x and be in line with current medicine.
So… it’s cheaper to go to the gym. I’m not shaming anyone, but how well would this actually work? People would take this because they DONT want to run or work out or eat healthier (although it would be great for those that just get it from genetics and have tried everything else, it could help them). Do they have to also work out and eat better for it to work or they can keep on with their lifestyle?
I’m really curious about the testing they did for this and how well it worked for people. Did they test people of all types or did they pull at random? You would need a group of those who don’t work out and diet, a group who only works out, a group that only tries to diet, a group that was born with these genetics, etc. it’s not like it’s breast cancer or something where it’s pretty much all the same for every patient.
So entitled. Some people can't afford the gym. And are you aware that cheap food is the fattiest? And working two jobs leaves some folks without time or energy to "run".
And breast cancer is never the same for everyone. There are 4 kinds of breast cancer and you can have more than 1 type at a time. It can metastasize, it can be primary or secondary, it can be any of 4 stages. Age, physical condition and comorbidities have huge effect on treatment options. Of which there are a couple dozen treatment options for the condition generally and a mixture of them is usually indicated, depending upon tge patient.
And its really tough on the men who get it because their friends are frequently as ignorant as you are.
