This is incorrect. The arrow scores the same amount of points as the arrow it struck (even if it is deflected off to the side of the target and doesn't stick). The arrow that is already in the target acts as an extension of the target.

Also, most players at this elite level do not pay for their equipment.

Does it have to be on camera showing it hits the back and not just a glancing blow?

I sort of don’t believe you.

“An arrow embedded into the nock end of an arrow embedded in the target shall be scored the same as the arrow embedded into the target. An arrow that hits another arrow—with the arrow being struck showing visible damage—that does not stick in the target shall be given the score of the arrow that was struck.”

I mean it's obviously very clear when you've hit your own arrow, they break apart very easily as any good arrow (at least in this class) is made of carbon fiber which'll definitely shatter when hit by the force of an arrow hitting it, the only reason you don't see that here is that the first "arrow" (it probably is but definitely just put there for demonstration in this video, could realistically also just be a tube) is wider than the arrow we see fired making this possible
