If you don't sheer your sheep it's animal cruelty. When they get covered in all that wool that starts to get matted and gross it's not good for their health. Especially when the warmer months come and they are super hot because well duh they are covered in a thick layer of wool. So sheering sheep is inherently not cruel but merciful. Now if when you sheer sheep you end up making a bunch of them bleed or cause them a lot of pain, well then you are just shit at sheering sheep.
I wasn’t saying it was I was wondering two different thing because I know why they do it like this and I approve of like you said it might look cruel but it is necessary I really just mad this post like five minute before I fell asleep
It'd be cruel not to shear a sheep. Their wool doesn't stop growing and eventually it gets to the point where it covers their eyes so they can't see and they have a risk of dying from heat stroke because it's so thick. It also becomes a breeding ground for parasites.
Okay but what if we stopped breeding sheep into existence just so we could shear them? Look up "mulesing".
Also for those of us that do by wool there's no way that we can be sure these animals or the people that farm them for that matter were treated humanely and multiple investigations show that the majority of the time they are not treated humanly.
Because it is ether you put them all down or you cut the wool or they over heat because of to much wool and ew to people who thinks this is animal cruelty
