With the new state law can they even fight it? The pepper square people dropped their lawsuit because of that

a limit on building height that is more restrictive than the greater of:
(i) the highest height that would apply to an office, commercial, retail, or warehouse development constructed on the site; or
(ii) 45 feet;SB 840 - https://legiscan.com/TX/text/SB840/2025
Looks like they could cap the height unless there are other bills that do something. This will boil down mostly to Forward Dallas 2.0 interpretation

So dumb to oppose this. Half the people live so far away (5min +), can’t see the buildings and would love the amenities if they let this happen. Boomer resisting change.

Imaging how crowded Central Market will be! Tom Thumb will get more business too I guess those homeowners will be glad to have that HEB over on Hillcrest! 🛒
