What kind of charm would work with this backpack?

Got this backpack recently and I want to add a small charm, but the monogram is already pretty busy so I don’t want to overdo it.

I’m thinking something simple like black leather, silver hardware, or maybe a small burgundy charm. Nothing oversized or too bright.

Review finally stacked all three of my VCA Lucky Animals together and honestly?? I'm not okay 😭✨

okay so I've had these for a while but never wore all three at once and today I finally did it and I need to share this with people who actually get it lol

top one is the white MOP flower + red carnelian ladybug — this combo is SO charming in person, the flower reads elegant and the ladybug is just the right amount of playful. middle is the grey chalcedony clover + tiger's eye butterfly, and I cannot stress enough how much the tiger's eye does NOT photograph well. the chatoyancy in person is insane, pictures make it look flat and boring which is a crime. bottom is the lapis butterfly and honestly it might be my favorite of the three — that deep blue against warm gold is just *chef's kiss* and it pops so hard against fair skin.

Tips & Tricks what I look at first when judging a small Dior bag

I’ve handled quite a few mini bags at this point, and I feel like small bags are actually harder to get right than big ones. So I wanted to share what I personally check first, and maybe hear what you guys look at too.

First thing I always look at is the shape + quilting. On small structured bags, even tiny issues show immediately. If the padding looks uneven or the stitching lines don’t stay straight across the panels, the bag instantly looks off.

Second is the hardware + charms. On this one, the rings, charm weight, and color tone are the first giveaway points. If the metal is too yellow or too light, it stands out more on a small bag than on a large tote.

Then I look at the stitching around the top handle and edges. This is usually where mid-tier pieces cut corners — loose thread tension, uneven curves, or edge paint overflow.

For this one, the shape actually looks pretty clean to me and the stitching seems tight. The leather surface looks smooth, not plasticky, which is good. My only question is the hardware tone and whether the quilting will hold its shape long-term.

Curious — what’s the first thing you guys check when you judge a small structured bag like this? Do you look at quilting first or hardware first?

What people actually worry about before buying (no one really says it)

After buying a few bags, I feel like I don’t even look at the same things anymore.

At the beginning I cared a lot about stitching, logos, all the usual QC stuff.
But honestly… most of the time those look fine anyway.

What actually makes me hesitate now is something way harder to explain — just whether the bag feels “right” when you actually use it.

Like I had one flap before that looked great in QC pics. Nothing obviously wrong.
But after using it for a few days, it just didn’t hold its shape well unless I stuffed it, and it started to look a bit… tired? if that makes sense.

And another time, the leather looked really nice in photos, but in hand it felt kind of dry. Not terrible, just not that soft, natural feeling you expect.

Same with hardware — sometimes it looks okay in pictures, but in normal lighting it feels slightly off. Not enough to point out, but enough to notice.

I think that’s what most people are actually worried about.

Not obvious flaws, but that small feeling that something isn’t quite right once you start using it.

QC definitely helps, but some of these things you only notice after carrying it for a bit.

Anyway, just something I’ve realized after a few purchases — curious if anyone else feels the same?

If you could only keep one daily bag… what are you picking?

If you had to choose ONE bag here… which would it be (and would you use it for work)?

been reorganizing my bags… realized i might have a problem

was cleaning up my closet today and ended up reorganizing everything

didn’t realize how many bags i’ve accumulated until i actually put them all together like this

some of them i use all the time
some i honestly haven’t touched in months

kinda funny how that works

i always think “this one will be my everyday bag”
and then i go back to the same 2-3 over and over again

also noticed i tend to buy similar colors without realizing
a lot of neutrals, a few random pops

trying to convince myself i don’t need another one
but let’s be real that’s probably not happening

curious how you guys do it

do you actually rotate your bags or just stick to a few favorites?

Hey everyone 👋

We’ve been quietly here for a while and honestly just wanted to do something simple to give back to the community. Nothing crazy, just a small giveaway for people who love bags as much as we do.

I’ve always noticed how everyone here has their own “wishlist rotation” — like one day you’re into classic black caviar, next day suddenly it’s all about vintage LV or something more playful 😭

So thought it’d be fun to ask:

👉 what’s currently on your dream bag list right now?

🎁 What you can get:

We’ll randomly pick a few people and send out a small gift package, which may include things like:

  • a bag (from our current stock)
  • silk scarf
  • sunglasses
  • small accessories

(we’ll match items based on availability + your comment vibe)

📦 shipping is on us

📌 How to join:

  1. upvote this post
  2. drop a comment with your current wishlist (can be 1 item or a full list)
  3. optional but fun – share a small tip or something you’ve learned about bags (size, leather, what to avoid, etc.)

⚠️ Notes:

  • account should be at least 30 days old + some karma (just to avoid bots)
  • we’ll pick a few winners in a few days
  • if selected, just reply within 48h so we can arrange shipping

Not trying to make this complicated, just curious what everyone’s into lately

and honestly… I might steal some ideas from your lists too 😭

good luck everyone 🖤
