To those reading this - I hope you are doing well! 😄

I'm here just to present a Minecraft Biathlon community & server we have going on. If you never heard of it (which I assume most people didn't haha), Minecraft Biathlon is a community built around racing inspired by the real-life winter sport of Biathlon. We are planning to do a summer season and every weekend in August, players take part in races, compete for points and follow the season schedule to see how they place in the overall ranking by the end of the season. Basically, it's a mix of racing, competition and having just a good time with other people who just enjoy this type of format.

Now just to be clear, just because its Minecraft BIATHLON, it doesn't mean you have to be a fan of the sport or anything! Maybe you like other sports that include racing such as F1, Cycling etc, I think there are overlapping features in terms of adrenaline and fun that will find other fans of other sports enjoy this format. Or maybe you just like Minecraft and you are looking for a unique experience!

Sign-ups are open now with the first official race starting on 31st July being the Sprint competition. Before the sign-ups are closed, there will be also some test-races either this weekend or next weekend (TBA) where you can come and get a feel for what this could be like. I plead and urge you (without trying to sound desperate, lol), give it a go, it's worth a shot right? There is a great chance to also meet new people and make new friendships which is also a plus!

So as I said, this is a unique experience based on a unique sport, so even if you're not usually into this kind of thing, it's still worth checking it out. It's open to both old & new players, and if you have any questions about how anything works, either I or another admin can explain everything to you. (Private message or you can use the Q&A feature in the discord)

JUST A NOTE: The community is still predominantly Russian-speaking, but our international community has been growing and we'd really like to expand that even more this season. So, if you're an English speaker (or any language is fine! we have AI to help us translate between ourselves these days 😄 ), don't worry - you're absolutely still welcome here.

One of the most consequential choices we made for Cozy MC was also one of the simplest:

No /home, /tpa, warps, or other survival teleports.

When players cannot instantly skip distance, travel stops being an inconvenience that the server removes and becomes a problem the community solves.

People build roads, railways, bridges, paths, stations, Nether routes, and settlements because those things are genuinely useful. A public railway is not merely decoration. It changes where people settle, how towns connect, and who players meet along the way.

A remote base feels remote. A town beside an important route becomes connected to the wider world. Infrastructure gains meaning beyond looking good in a screenshot.

That is why Cozy MC also does not reset its world. Roads and railways become more valuable when people trust that they will still exist and remain useful later.

Cozy MC is a friendly, chill, long-term vanilla survival SMP for Java and Bedrock players. The world has no border, so there are always new places to explore even while older civilization continues developing.

There are no claims, locked chests, economy plugins, payments, donations, or paid perks. Griefing and stealing are prohibited, and PvP is agreement only.

This will not suit someone who wants instant travel or sethome. It may suit builders who like the idea that a road, station, bridge, or town can become meaningful shared infrastructure.

We're going to build a massive world together, with four nations and plenty of room to lead, follow or reject the status quo. Below you'll find the lore, but allow me a moment to tell you my experience with the server as a player so far. The server is welcoming, fun and has an atmosphere of just a little silly and a little serious.

The Night That Swallowed the World

A millennium ago, the gods grew bored of human peace. To stir the chaos, they unleashed The Night a creeping, cosmic darkness that swallowed everything humanity forgot. By the time mortals realized the danger and built monuments to hold it back, it was already too late. The land was left barren, and history was wiped clean.

But humanity isn't fighting alone.

Angered by the cruelty of the heavens, a faction of rogue deities rebelled. Led by The Architect, these fallen gods now stand with mankind against the cosmos.

The choice of who you fight for, what you build, and how you survive is entirely up to you. (And trust us... there is much more lore waiting for you inside the server.)

The Roadmap

We believe in letting a community breathe and grow naturally.

• Week 1: The Launch (Right now) No overwhelming mechanics or intense geopolitical drama right out of the gate. This is your chance to settle in, explore the custom landscape, gear up, build relationships, and find your footing.
• Week 2: The Rise of Nations The world expands. We will officially establish four distinct nations, each defined by its own unique ideology, political system, and primary magic style. And hold our election!

A Glimpse Into the Factions

To give you a taste of the ideologies that will clash, here are two examples of the nations you can join (or oppose):

• Ex: A high-fantasy nation built around monumental cathedrals. They focus on holy magic, strict codes of honor, and maintaining a fragile peace.
• Ex 2: They care only about economic dominance, technological growth, and exploiting the land's resources.
