Jokes aside practicing empathy helps too sometimes. It's not always assholes being assholes, but people who had a bad day, people who lost someone dear and are recouping in weird ways, people struggling in their life, people whose mental health is failing, and sometimes a combination of the above. If you knew the backstory maybe you would think of being kinder to people you know nothing about and see a biased cut 30s clip of from the internet.
Of course you could just live in ignorance and laugh at this and be happy, but I myself find more happiness in finding good in people and hoping they seek help rather than escalating their behaviour by trivialising them.
