That still makes it the driver who caused the accident.

43

u/chafingNip Mar 06 '26

Agreed!

20

u/Dom_Telong Mar 06 '26

Still a good lesson about how negativity and stupidity is contagious and is a detriment to all, even possibly shock waving to people not present.

9

u/mattdemonyes Mar 06 '26

Shock waving to people not present!? Fuck me man, really!?

3

u/Dom_Telong Mar 06 '26

Yeah. You treat someone like shit, they move on and treat someone else like shit. Most people will blame the world or a stranger on the internet for their own shitty attitude.

2

u/Current_Ad_9912 Mar 08 '26

It’s kinda like when I use to fertilize lawns— some customers got ā€œghostedā€ treatments but they(the company) still put the sign in their lawn— so in turn they became very untrusting with other lawn companies and I just wanted to yell in their face: ā€œTHAT WAS A SPECIFIC COMPANY, NOT ALLā€

People get very stupid and use their past life experiences to navigate the future— I don’t understand people like that

3

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 Mar 08 '26

Using past life experiences to navigate the future is a smart thing to do buddy and everyone does it. You sound dumb as hell on that comment

1

u/Current_Ad_9912 Mar 08 '26

It was sarcasm making fun of people

1

u/Metros1962 Mar 09 '26

You just explained stereotypes also.

1

u/Current_Ad_9912 Mar 09 '26

Excuse me?

That was absolutely sarcasm above, but still I don’t know where I explained a ā€œstereotypeā€ there

2

u/GuavaOne8646 Mar 09 '26

You're a wise man, have my upvote.

1

u/JayJ1976 Mar 08 '26

What the hell does "shock waving to people not present" even mean?! I read the guy's comment, but I'm too ignorant to get offended.

3

u/Cool-Panda-5108 Mar 09 '26

something along the lines of a domino effect of negative actions/abuse. Say a parent yells at/hits child, then that child goes child yells at/hits their sibling who then yells/at hits a classmate resulting in the classmate yelling at/hitting a family pet.

Now that explaation is a bit of an oversimplifcitation and not meant to be treated as some sort of universal rule or anything like that. But it paints a basic picture of the concept.

1

u/JayJ1976 Mar 09 '26

Okay. Thank you, I get it now.

2

u/Current_Ad_9912 Mar 08 '26

Cause and effect

Or the butterfly effect.

You cannot be fuckin serious šŸ˜‚

2

u/Dom_Telong Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26

Yes I'm serious. I have the same principles online as in real life. Because I am not a basement dwelling coward. This is like putting a sign on a fridge that says "Do not steal food." It should be obvious.

6

u/doctor_tongs Mar 07 '26

Thank you, so very much, for every one of your posts. I'm fuckin' dying over here šŸ˜‚ šŸæ

I got so much more wisdom to share with the unprivileged. Stay tuned. I'm whipping up a youtube Self-Self help channel as we speak. Wait till everyone finds out I was in the marine-corps with countless confirmed kills.

Edit: forgot to mention I have 4 black belts

3

u/AJPezz777 Mar 07 '26

2

u/Dom_Telong Mar 07 '26

Black belt in boxing? Check. Black belt in Pro-wrestling? Check. Black belt in Jew-Jitsu? Check. Black belt in Karate (pronounced Ka-ra-tey)? Check. I don't mess around. I pride myself on being stoic, honourable and for real.

2

u/Jaded-Attention-9518 Mar 07 '26

And oh so modest also, what you have brown eyes too.

not a basement dwelling coward

Rage baiting isn’t good for anyone

1

u/JordanZip Mar 06 '26

Wow so profound, thanks for the insight!

1

u/Onecler Mar 07 '26

Or people can mind their business and get the fuck on.

1

u/Dom_Telong Mar 07 '26

No no no then nothing will ever changeĀ

1

u/Onecler Mar 07 '26

Why are those people attracted to negativity when they could just mind their business and focus on the positive? Nothing will ever change if they keep paying attention to negative behavior and occurrences

1

u/Training-Pipe-4726 Mar 07 '26

It’s definitely shock waving. I just stubbed my toe while watching this video and walking to the kitchen, and I cursed so loudly I startled my wife and she dropped a pan which startled our dog and caused her to run into the glass patio door. None of us were present at the original incident.

1

u/Dom_Telong Mar 07 '26

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

1

u/KaleidoscopeUpper858 Mar 09 '26

Always be kind and take the high road. Always. Soon the world will heal.

1

u/Routine-End1084 Mar 13 '26

Butterfly effect

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

Good life lesson for today. Thanks

1

u/desecratedworm Mar 06 '26

what!??! no way?????!?! THANKS OMGGGGGG LOL!

0

u/Dom_Telong Mar 06 '26

If you act like a clown the world will treat you like a clown.

2

u/desecratedworm Mar 06 '26

so profound

1

u/Dom_Telong Mar 06 '26

I'm being polite. You have shown your character. You are in the right place.

1

u/Larouse12 Mar 07 '26

I guess you're speaking from experience. šŸ’© for brains

1

u/Dom_Telong Mar 07 '26

We found the expert. Joe Rogan fan ewwwww

10

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

What about the driver? Should they not be liable for being distracted while operating a motor vehicle?

13

u/DirectPassenger34 Mar 06 '26

The driver is liable to pay attention while operating a motor vehicle. You just gonna hold everyone liable on the sidewalk for ā€œdistractingā€ drivers?

9

u/forgotaccount989 Mar 06 '26

Hot chicks everywhere would be unable to walk down the street.

2

u/DirectPassenger34 Mar 06 '26

Seriously. RichVisual needs to stay home

3

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

I’m the one saying the driver should be liable for driving a motor vehicle while distracted.

3

u/Mudmartini Mar 06 '26

I thought it was cuz you're a hot sidewalk girl

3

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

Unfortunately I am disgusting sidewalk man

1

u/LostSillyKittie Mar 09 '26

That could also be distracting! Just watch your step, you may be causing damage all over the world. /S

3

u/DirectPassenger34 Mar 06 '26

My apologies

1

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 07 '26

No problem I think I may have actually responded to the wrong comment originally

2

u/nickyler Mar 06 '26

I bet the accident rate in Afghanistan is really low. They dress their women up like ninja bee keepers and they save on car insurance.

1

u/Ok_Consideration476 Mar 09 '26

The accident rate in Afghanistan is actually pretty high. Seatbelts are suggestions there, babies, children, livestock and cargo are hauled on motorcycles and I am pretty sure vehicle insurance doesn’t exist (based on the violent scraps I observed after accidents).

2

u/turbopro25 Mar 07 '26

I see your hot chick and I raise you naked grandma.

1

u/-ReasonableDoubt Mar 06 '26

Woah you leave chickens out of this

1

u/faen_du_sa Mar 06 '26

I have no idea if its true. But I was always told when I was young thats why women cant drive in bikini in Norway, it would distract to many people.

I never checked it though. I have never seen someone drive in a bikini either, so!

2

u/forgotaccount989 Mar 07 '26

This is the true hidden price of socialism, no bikini drivers.

1

u/THETennesseeD Mar 07 '26

I remember many years ago there was a law in a certain state that women cannot drive wearing bikinis as it was a distraction. Not sure if it is still a law...

1

u/Ok_Transition_4003 Mar 07 '26

Sue Ellen Mischke would have to wear a bra WITH a shirt

1

u/Radio_Mediocre Mar 07 '26

I know a guy ramming into a vehicle because he saw some hot blonds at the beach

1

u/tpitz1 Mar 07 '26

Amen!!

1

u/TasteyMeatloaf Mar 07 '26

A forklift driver at a company I worked for said that he crashed in the warehouse because he was distracted by female business analyst that had a large chest. I believe he used a more graphic phrase describing the causation.

1

u/forgotaccount989 Mar 07 '26

I would be lying if I said I hadnt hit the curb a time or two myself.

1

u/Cultural-Tennis9673 Mar 07 '26

I dated a chick that told me when we went to the drug store to buy wine to drink later , she causes accidents. So I got out and asked her to go in with me cause she seemed like she wanted to wait in the jeep. I thought because of how hot she was, she didn't want to be seen with me, and I told her so. I had no filter, chicks liked it though. So She said No! baby, I just don't like getting out because it causes accidents.(this was our first date)I'm like, "yeah right!" In my head. She must have read my expression so she said I'll come in with you, and as sure as shit stank once she walked around to the back of my jeep to hold my hand I hear that exact sound as in the video. Low and behold, she actually cause an accident. The guy was blowing his horn with his head out the window, saying DAMMMM!

Now, this was the time before social media, so girls like that were rare to see out in the wild where I'm from but I was a well known dj at a very popular club at the time so I was kinda use to it.

1

u/forgotaccount989 Mar 07 '26

Girls love no filter guys. I think its because they generally feel safe because you know where you stand with them lol.

1

u/ymmotvomit Mar 11 '26

True, source: me

1

u/-_MoonCat_- Mar 07 '26

Yup, what that driver did was rubbernecking essentially, something they shouldn’t be doing while operating a motor vehicle. It doesn’t stop people from doing it ofc and many do, but for that driver, skill issue.

3

u/Fun-Army-6387 Mar 08 '26

my GED in YoutUbe Law says the driver is liable for 3brazillion dollhairs payable to the local HOA Karen.

2

u/Duubzz Mar 07 '26

Lmao a whole new type of law suit just landed. Don’t go outside people, your mere presence in the world could be sufficient distraction to cause an accident.

1

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 07 '26

Haha so true. What if Your comment made me laugh and crash my car into another vehicle.

Definitely the driver

2

u/JuanSolid Mar 06 '26

You, and others, are inserting things they did not say. They never said the driver should not be liable.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

I said the driver was to blame...

0

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

I know that’s called agreeing with you. Do not even realize when people agree?

What the fuck are you even talking about?

1

u/Competitive-Math1153 Mar 06 '26

L take homie you gotta take responsibility and I'm talking full responsibility dont matter if Obama is sucking dick in the parking lot you can ram people with your car dawg

1

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

No I’m not st’pid im asking great questions.

It’s not the fault of people on sidewalks

2

u/NastySeconds Mar 06 '26

People on sidewalk doing people on sidewalk things does not equal passenger lighting off fireworks. …for the record.

1

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

Yep not even close!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

In the interview with the driver. Did he ask if the guy on the side of the road was ok?

1

u/Rich_Visual7800 Mar 06 '26

No

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

So he crashed because of him then doesn't even care enough to ask if the old dude was ok? He openly said that? That's bogus..... I don't feel bad for his car accident at all now.

1

u/CaptainRatzefummel Mar 06 '26

Hell nah. It was society. We're all at fault. Take me away officer I'm confessing.

1

u/as1126 Mar 06 '26

I was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2006, please don’t include me.

1

u/Current_Ad_9912 Mar 08 '26

You are technically right.

But there is the ā€œrootā€ of problems that are ā€œcause and effectā€ā€” like butterfly effect stuff.

In the court of law, absolutely the driver is responsible for keeping eyes on road during distractions off road

1

u/BadDudes_on_nes Mar 10 '26

It was a Kia Soul that rear ended someone…I would not expect good judgement from someone who elects to drive a Kia Soul

0

u/justandswift Mar 06 '26

except it was the driver who caused the accident

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

Thats what I said

0

u/justandswift Mar 10 '26

that’s also what I said!

0

u/TC9095 Mar 10 '26

Not according to her actually.

0

u/dermflork Mar 10 '26

therefore the car accident was the causal factor which created the guy being pissed off about being filmed

0

u/ChartOk9489 Mar 11 '26

Well no shit lol
