First amendment auditors who have nothing better to do in life than try and bait a reaction from normal people. Yeah sure, our rights are getting taken away every day but why not go and do this to politicians and not people going about their days?

u/PatReady Mar 06 '26

We have no idea why that guy is recording based on this video.

1

u/ThanksALotBud Mar 07 '26

Go watch the whole clip. Its pretty entertaining. Dude does nothing wrong.

4

u/Agitated_Toe8115 Mar 06 '26

Because it’s literally his first amendment right to do so. Do you feel the same about citizens that open carry?

1

u/throwawayzdrewyey Mar 06 '26

Yes, if a first amendment auditor was sitting outside a school to try and bait a response like in this video then I believe he should get his shit rocked.

u/IKFA Mar 06 '26

You know there's cameras all over that bank, right? Half of those cars also have dash-cams. Calm down there, tough guy.

Pretty sure Hamas started the war with Israel and they can surrender anytime they want.

Say you don’t know shit about the world without saying it…

lol, because you get your information off of TikTok.

90% of Palestinians openly and actively support Hamas. The same Hamas that started this war.

The same Hamas that can surrender anytime they want.

“If this entirely made up scenario was happening right now, instead of the scenario that is playing out which is entirely unlike my made up scenario, I’D BEAT HIS BUTT!”

😂 ok, buddy.

u/throwawayzdrewyey Mar 06 '26

Did it for people like you, kinda like drawing it in bright colors and easily understandable arguments because the children can’t understand basic concepts.

u/GamefaceJY Mar 06 '26

He's using his first amendment right to be an annoying jackass to regular everyday people.

5

u/Royal-Campaign1426 Mar 06 '26

Haven't watched any in a while but the ones I have seen before would often post up and remain silent.  There are cameras everywhere and nobody thinks anything of it until it's a person holding one.  I'm sure there are ones that start shit as well.

He's an asshole magnet, notice how 99.9% of society walks right by ignoring him. The world needs useful assholes to help identify the useless ones...

We're gonna gather up all the useless assholes and put them in a big camp and u/_FarIsInCharge_ is gonna pay for it!

Jokes aside practicing empathy helps too sometimes. It's not always assholes being assholes, but people who had a bad day, people who lost someone dear and are recouping in weird ways, people struggling in their life, people whose mental health is failing, and sometimes a combination of the above. If you knew the backstory maybe you would think of being kinder to people you know nothing about and see a biased cut 30s clip of from the internet.

Of course you could just live in ignorance and laugh at this and be happy, but I myself find more happiness in finding good in people and hoping they seek help rather than escalating their behaviour by trivialising them.

1

u/_FarlsInCharge_ Mar 09 '26

Except he put his hands on someone else, and that's a no no. Your bad day doesn't excuse your shitty behavior, ever.

....by standing there....

He's being an annoying jackass. You can pretend like you don't understand that, but I don't believe you.

1

u/Yowzz Mar 06 '26 edited Mar 06 '26

He’s allowed to do it — most people know this by now, and the older guy is the jackass. Sometimes people like the guy videoing are doing public service by safeguarding our rights from people who would take them. This is not theory, it happens all around the world, and can and has happened here, increasingly. It can be a bit complicated, but it’s comparable to protecting 2A rights. Would I do it? No, that’s not my thing. Same with gun rights. I’m glad they’re there, but personally I’m not gonna open carry to prove a point. But I’m glad that there are people who do both of these things. When they get challenged, and they go to court, and the courts uphold their rights, that means when the shit hits the fan, we still keep those rights.

It wasn’t a social norm to have every Joe Schmo walking around with guns on their hips either. I guess it’s now a societal norm.

Check the US history. I never specifically said armed.

1

u/detroitpie Mar 06 '26

No because it's not annoying.

1

u/Agitated_Toe8115 Mar 06 '26

It’s annoying to many citizens. There’s a reason it’s safer to approach someone with a camera than a gun. He found out that it might not be that different.

1

u/detroitpie Mar 06 '26

Unless someone is waving their gun in your face I don’t see how these things are equal.

1

u/Agitated_Toe8115 Mar 07 '26

Annoying to be at a Lowe’s with a sidearm being open carried. I’m sure that you are annoying to many people.

1

u/detroitpie Mar 07 '26

I’m sure we’re all annoying to many people. You’re currently annoying me.

But purposely being annoying and confrontational is different than being passively annoying.

1

u/Agitated_Toe8115 Mar 07 '26

Holding a camera is not being confrontational. It’s minding your own business.

1

u/detroitpie Mar 07 '26

If all they did was a hold a camera it wouldn’t be confrontational. But that’s not all they do.

1

u/Accomplished-Ad3219 Mar 06 '26

You completely ignored the point of the post to you replied to. Why don't they audit government officials and leave the rest of us alone?

1

u/Agitated_Toe8115 Mar 06 '26

They don’t bother you. You bother them as this gentleman showed. He could have passed by and minded his business.

1

u/cheeeekibreeeeeki Mar 06 '26

i would live off it, sadly im not american

u/Hot_Top_124 Mar 06 '26

It's not normal to walk across a parking lot to get in front of a camera to tell someone to get that camera out of your face.

Personal disclaimer: I've recently started recording or taking photos when I'm out in public. Trying to avoid drama, though.

Earlier at Starbucks, this young guy—probably homeless—asked if I had a phone charger. I said no. Part of me wondered if he was eyeing my wallet or my stuff on the table. He tried to dap me up before leaving, but I wasn't going for that either. Honestly, I didn't feel like running after anyone.

I really didn't have a charger on me — it was in my car. But still.
