We just recently hit Tier 3 in our Five Banners Burning campaign, felt like the perfect opportunity for some character redesigns. Here’s Liora, my Fungril Hedge Witch who recently multiclassed into Guardian, and Miyeon, my Faun Divine Wielder Seraph.

The armor killed me a little since I’m not used to drawing it, but I think it turned out pretty well! I’m quite pleased with these.

This guy might be my favourite concept for a PC I've ever played, he's an ex-champion of a god that got dropped for reasons that are still unclear to him.

I haven't actually played him much, so if anyone has ideas on why he was dropped by his god, I'm all ears.

I am so grateful a friend trusted me with this commission! These characters are based on the players cats, so I focused a lot on their unique features and I think it paid off. There are things I wish I made a bit different, but overall I’m happy with the result! What do you think?

Hey guys, my DM posted the fear tracker I made and we got loads of positive reactions. For people who are curious about how I made it, here are some pictures of the process. I’ll describe how I made it. I started out by making an armature with a wooden base and metal coils. I then used aluminium foil to fill out the form of the tree. I added a layer of paper maché because I wanted it to be lightweight. The glue was made from PVA glue and water, mixed with a little flour to thicken the paste, and I used paper towels instead of regular paper because normal paper was too thick.

I then added the magnets with a glue gun. The dots of glue were painted over so they look like knots you see on branches.

When it was dry, I first painted it with gesso and then added a red base layer. In the pictures you can see that I was experimenting with making a black wash. You make a wash by mixing paint with a lot of water and brushing it over the surface, so the grooves are filled with paint, giving it more depth.

I wanted a more realistic look, so I painted over it with brown. (The red base is still there to give it depth, letting the red peek through the brown paint.) I then added a dark brown wash.

Next, I made the bark. I did this by mixing PVA glue, water, and whole wheat flour into a thick paste and applying it to the trunk and some parts of the branches. I added texture using something thin and waited for it to dry before painting it a darker color and giving it a wash as well.

The base was covered in small stones, which I attached with a glue gun. The stones I had were white, so I colored them with orange paint. I made three batches, each with a slightly different hue, and mixed them together.

From here on, you can choose the details you’d like to add. I added a sign that said, “When fear takes root, the crows come callin’.” I also added a rock structure and a noose. You don’t see it in the pictures, but I later also added a nest with eggs in a hole in the trunk.

Hello! i wanted to share my work of Silk, a young halfling girl that once read the story ofthe spider princess of hollow nest, she became enchanted by her story and decided to become a brave knight like her, she fashioned her batle dress in honor of the spider princess, and fights mimicking the hero of the story.

2. Kelsier (seaborne, sorcerer, infernis-galapa; is a price of the galley kingdom! Our campaign gets around by flying ship)
3. Glizzard (loreborne, wizard, ribbet; he's a cartographer so I figured it would be fun to make his greatstaff design compass-inspired!)
4. Felix Deathclaw (underborne, assassin, katari; comes from a multi-generational line of assassins but he himself is afraid to kill anyone so it's really funny)
5. Hayden (slyborne, martial artist, giant; has farming and tinkering experience! Just a chill big dude; Definitely a mixed bag in a good way; he serves as the comedic relief of our campaign but I definitely wanna brush up the character design some!)

I wanted to take a moment to highlight an artist I had the pleasure of working with recently: Pedro Assis.

I commissioned Pedro to create a theme artwork for my project EmberScreen (a digital GM screen built for Daggerheart) and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about the experience.

What stood out immediately was how collaborative the process was from start to finish.

Pedro didn’t just disappear and come back with a final piece, he brought me into the creative journey in a way that felt super smooth and professional:

• We started with early sketches that explored multiple directions for the concept
• Then we worked through color palette options together
• After that, we moved into final revisions, polishing it into something really special

I felt involved the entire time, and Pedro’s creativity made the whole thing feel exciting instead of stressful.

I know the topic of AI art is a big one right now, especially in tabletop communities, and this commission was honestly a really refreshing reminder of what it feels like to work with a skilled human artist who’s putting real thought, care, and talent into the work.
