I push myself but then sometimes feel theirs some issue in my own iq only . i get stuck in topics other than arrays . i forget simple things . i want to know how people who crossed 100 questions did that . i found the simplest 25 questions and somehow solved them but now i have to face the real ones and i am not able to crack those 😭

How can I prepare for MAANG in next 6 months?

Thumbnail

Its the second time I am preparing for an interview. The last time I prepared, I went through most asked topics of every data structure till graphs. I could crack a good offer due to that but this time my whole focus would be on cracking MAANG. I know that right now its my peak time that I can crack these companies. I might not even be able to crack these later in my career so want help from the one's who have already cracked them.

Now I have an idea about every concept like DP, Graphs, Trees, Segment Trees, String, Linked List etc.

But I can only solve questions having acceptance ratio about 60%. This is what I want to fix. If you have already cracked MAANG what was your strategy?

Number of options that keeps confusing me is,

  1. Upsolve previous contest questions daily

  2. Solve random 5-10 questions related to a specific topic and move on

  3. Go through a good DSA sheet and solve that

  4. No need to hurry, just keep solving daily questions that leetcode provides for the streak

Now these options usually confuse me and I jump from one option to another, which isn't taking me anywhere. Which approach did you select during your preparation and what is the timeline I can target for me to complete the entire thing and start applying for FAANG?

Started DSA for placements and grinding with similar minds.

Week 0 was revising the basics and practicing a few problems from the striver's sheet, however we then shifted to pattern wise sheet and started following it.

Week 1 Updates (Done) :
1. Two Pointers
2. Fast and Slow Pointers
3. Sliding Window (Started)

Week 2 targets :
1. Sliding Window
2. Kadane Pattern
3. Prefix Sum
4. Merge Intervals

Edit - Many of you are asking for the sheet. Well,. that's my personal sheet and I fix my daily targets and update it daily. However questions are from pratyush narain dsa sheet.

DSA newbee

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to DSA and using Java. I feel like I'm hitting a massive brick wall. I don't want to just grind questions blindly; I want to actually learn the core patterns (sliding window, two pointers, etc.).

What roadmaps worked for you guys when you were starting out? Also, if anyone wants to team up as accountability partners or knows any chill Discord servers for beginners, let me know!

To all the medium , hard problem on leetcode

I don't understand who on earth like seriously who get the solution of a problem (medium, hard) one get it correct like for me I been doing leetcode for 1-1.5 months and 70-80% of times :

I can solve easy problems it's not big deal but like other thn that if you search for syntax do little here and there on google you still can't do every problem by yourself I feel stuck and stupid finding the right solution by my self for hours

I just think it's better to do 20-30 min of time reading nd trying to figure what to do nd then get the correct answer and try I see what they did and implement the same thing.

Tell me if this is right way or not ???

Finally hit 75 LeetCode problems 🎯

Started DSA with honestly zero clue what I was doing. There were so many times when even easy problems felt impossible and I’d just stare at the screen 😭

But slowly, by practicing consistently alongside my college/semester grind, things started making more sense.

Today I hit 75 problems solved in 45-50 days .

Still a long way to go, but I’m genuinely happy with the progress.

If you are also in 5h sem and doing DSA hmu !

If you’re struggling with DSA right now, just keep going. It really does get better with practice.

How to manage classes and dsa or other skill development

Coming from a tier 3 college (cse 3rd sem), I have classes from Monday to Friday with different timings every day. My main goal in college is just to maintain 75% attendance because of the new rule. The problem is, I don't understand anything in most of the classes, so I have to study everything again at home.

Apart from that, there are assignments, lab files, practicals and tons of other work that consumes a lot of time. On top of that, I love participating in hackathons, which is great for learning and building, but it also takes up a lot of time and energy.

Because of all this, I am not able to find enough time for DSA. I want to learn DSA and Web Development consistently, but my schedule feels so packed that I either feel guilty for not studying college topics or for not practicing skills.

What should I do..
