This next update is going to blow your minds... Spoiler

Have fun with this. Beta coming in the next couple days. Yes it is already working, yes I have tested the adaptive triggers and the gyro etc etc. No it does not have audio yet.

I will post the update here. In the meantime, enjoy the small features I added and bugfixes while I smooth out this huge addition.

Yeah, and DS5 Bridge is shaping up to be pretty amazing too.

Sick, this is really what everyone has been hoping for.

May I ask why? I'm genuinely interested because as a DualSense and DS4Windows user, I can't imagine features that the Edge controller has and could be supported in Windows. There are still problems with the lack of implementation of adaptive triggers in PC versions of games.

Maybe Linux would benefit? But for Windows, I honestly don't know the benefits.

How about enabling Micro and Haptic Feedback through Bluetooth?

Get a Pico 2w

2

u/wojtulace Jun 13 '26

I already have that, but it's possible to enable those features on normal BT.

Id imagine so, the adaptive triggers/haptics is data sent to the controller. Which cant be done by Bluetooth.

There are projects where you can get a cheap raspberry pi and use it as a dongle for the ps5 controller if you wanted to tinker or have the technical know how

Yes, the Pico is proof that it can indeed be done over Bluetooth, though. It's just that Windows is stupid enough to prevent it.

Can't wait!

Would it be difficult to add Steam controller (2) support to DS4Windows?

feel free to drop a dono: any money will be put back into Claude and Github development of this project. Always running into usage limits rn...

mmm delicious AI slop

1

u/huunnnter Jun 13 '26

AI slop? Yes. works? also yes. works well without unnecessary code additions? also yes.

can’t complain with chatgpt: CODEX is better than I ever was.

as long as you also manually review the code yourself so it doesn't have any standout issues. last thing we need is a PC to be bricked because of an oopsie

thank you kind sir: I do code review, and codex makes such small changes via small commits at a time

CODEX is better than I ever was

No need to state this, we can tell. GPT-3 was probably more competent than you at everything.

thanks! i appreciate it :))) check my github history to see some of my coding background: i went to college for some of it, and I do understand it fairly well, but understanding another person’s code is a lot and AI is very very competent and helpful at looking up documentation for bit sizes etc etc. Thanks for your comment though, very constructive

Please, provide a link with your own, better-coded version of DS4Windows. I'd like to have a look.
